I am making my 14 consecutive trip to Le Mans this year, but only two months off the race and i am still looking for a passenger for the trip down to Le Mans to share the costs and the driving occassionally. Sadly most of my regualr friends simply are not interested in racing whatsoever and the ones that are are already hooked up.

We are setting off from Preston at approx midnight Wednesday 11th June for a 6.25 am sailing from Dover. Arrive at the track mid afternoon Thursday.

Camping on Bleu Nord and i can provide a tent if required or you can share my 3 man tent.

Returning on th 14.00 ferry on Monday and all being well should be home for early evening Monday 16th

Approximate costs for ferry, camping, fuel, race ticket and breakdown cover is roughly the £160 mark.

Ideally I am looking for someone from the North West area but can pick up on route if you are on the route down to Dover but don't want to divert too much.

So if anyone knows of anyone who fancy's going but hasn't got the means to get there, but does have the the desire and finances, then please get in touch.

I have done the trip on my own before, but 1100 miles of driving on your own is taking its toll these days and also the fuel costs these days are horendous.

I drive an Audi A4 diesel so its not too bad fuel wise.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

Chris. I don't think it is a good idea to advertise the fact that you are driving down in an Audi diesel. I for one have seen too many of the bloody things at Le Mans already Grin.

Still looking for a passenger for the trip, so if you know anyone that fancy's a trip to Le Mans but doesn't know how to go about it and wants the hassle taken out of arranging a trip, put them in touch with me.

OK, I am now sorted out and have found two passengers via the British rally forum. Best bit is they are normally Le Mans regulars so know what to expect.

Thanks

Hopefully the car will be sorted . Just spent £734.38p on the credit card for a replacement engine that has supposidly only done 42,000 miles Then another £250 to fit it, then a cam belt, oil, filter etc so looking at a bill of about £1100 and then i need the rear wheels bearing and discs doing as well ! Sad
