46  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / Re: 2 Camping Tickets needed on: May 26, 2007, 07:47:44 pm
I've send the money to "president" for 2 BSJ tickets.

No offers anymore please, I'll contact an admin as soon as the tickets arrive to close the thread then

no more offers, I have my tickets!

47  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Spa Track works on: April 10, 2007, 06:29:40 pm
It will be interesting to see if they build the old toilets into the new pitbuilding.
Trackworks everywhere and toilets dating back to WW2 - You gotta love Spa to stay there 5 days

It will be interesting to see how the Bustop will be in competition, much more frightening to me are the works at Rivage because I still couldn't figure out if they just repave it or add run-off. You could get so close to the cars there on the outside exiting the corner.
48  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Memory cards for digital cameras on: April 10, 2007, 06:26:34 pm
I can highly recommend Transcend cards.

I'm using a 2GB CF card that equals the Extreme III performance at half the price. (dating back to mid 2006)
Nowadays you save around 10€
Transcend is specialized on memory related things at all sorts of computer/multimedia

I didn't find them in a shop, I've ordered directly from Transcend via Creditcard and it was in the mailbox the next day (delivery within Germany)

49  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Tomas Enge on: April 10, 2007, 06:19:13 pm
Latest information is that Tomas will drive the P/WL Ferrari again at the Lime Rock round of the ALMS on Jul. 7th.
No information yet about his Aston Martin drive at Le Mans.

Concerning the surgery his elbow was fixed with 2 plates and several screws which will be removed in 2 weeks and he'll immediately start rehab then.
50  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Who is Driving the Longest Distance to Le-Mans on: April 10, 2007, 06:15:56 pm
We met a group of Norwegians and Swedes on BSJ last year as they had a TV-set up and ready for Germany vs Poland.
Didn't ask for the distance, but they did it in 31hrs, only refuelling stops as they came with an old bus prepared for the race with sleeping area kitchen and so on.

For me it's the Le Mans 500  Wink (miles)
I have to pit three times during the "race" for fuel
51  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / 2 Camping Tickets needed on: April 03, 2007, 12:16:05 pm
Hello Racefans!

We've been a little late in ordering our camping tickets, everything is sold out.

So we need 2 Camping Tickets, preferably Houx Annexe, Maison Blanche or Karting Nord.
If there's no other choice we'll also set up our stuff at Beauséjour like last year.

Please help us out.

Thanks Tommy
52  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: what car had the best sound at Le mans 2006? on: June 22, 2006, 11:54:47 pm
Murcie, no doubt about that  Cool
Then comes the 996 RSR fleet
and 3rd for Panoz

I positioned myself at Tertre Rouge at night. You could hear the Porsches long after they've thrown in 6th gear.
The Lambo has such a wonderful V12. I think it comes from the rear exhaust instead of the sidepipes of Aston and Ferrari
53  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Old Pitlane exit for the Race! on: June 09, 2006, 09:13:12 pm
Pesca asked the ACO to switch back to the old pit exit for the race as the very long 60km/h limit would have been a big disadvantage to his team considering the need of more refuelling stops.

And if a frenchman asks the ACO to do something the answer will always be "oui" Grin

But I'm fine with that decision. That new pitlane is just ridiculous

A facelifted Alfa Romeo 147 1.6 TS in silver
With the "Alfa Romeo" letters on the windscreen and GT-eins.de on the rear bumper.

2nd car is Vauxhall Astra Caravan, F Series in Red Roll Eyes
55  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: The (Unrelated To Le Mans) Joke Thread on: June 07, 2006, 12:42:03 am
What's the difference between Michael and Ralf Schumacher?
The expression on their face when someone drives in their rear-end.

Why did Villeneuve let both Mercedes pass at Jerez 1997?
He feared they roll onto him

The Scottish National Team won a match. The manager comes into the locker room and says
"Guys, you were very good. You deserved a refreshment."
"John, open the window"

What does a dutchman when Holland won the World-Cup
He turns off his playstation and goes to bed

During a manoeuvre a sign is put up on a bridge - "Detonated"
The General watches his company through his binoculars crossing the bridge by foot
The last soldier in the queue has a sign on his back - "We swim"

On page 9 are the crash pictures

More come tomorrow, but my mate has a slow connection and wants to sleep now.
Expect the rest tomorrow afternoon/evening

Dunno when the video will be ready
57  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Eating 'en-route' on: June 07, 2006, 12:00:25 am
eating in the car vs 4 months old Alfa Romeo Wink Grin

drinking and smoking is ok, but I don't want sweet&sour on my seats Grin
58  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: how many times have you been to le mans? on: June 06, 2006, 10:08:58 pm
according to my gps thingy, it will take 2 days driving 12 hours, planning to stop in Frankfurt for sat evening, sunday to watch the England Game in a local pub, then drive the rest Monday.

That's impressive man - but quite a detour over Frankfurt
Bremen-Düsseldorf-Liége would make more sense. Do you know any people in Frankfurt?
For me it's my 2nd time if that Pretesting counts as well Grin

When I lose my virginity, then I do it right.
Was at the testing from saturday evening to monday morning and will be at BSJ from wednesday very early morning to monday morning

Oh man, 3200km in 2 weeks, around 6 tanks of gas and ~36hrs incl. shopping and rests
I must be crazy
59  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: who's going to win le mans 2006? on: June 06, 2006, 09:34:10 pm
I don't see anybody threatening Audi apart from themself.
That fuel economy advantage is already quite something. The advantage will be 1000x bigger if it rains what I don't want of course.

I was at the testing and the only thing I can say is - I hope they fail on the formation lap. I couldn't hear the car even if there was no other car around Roll Eyes

I'll cheer for every normally aspirated car with Zytek #2 being my favourite but Audi will make it
P2 goes to RML
GT1 - Corvette, no question
GT2 - Are the 430 reliable? If not - IMSA Matmut GT3 RSR
60  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Important driver changes on: June 06, 2006, 08:52:15 pm
Not exactly at home
There is another 24 hour race at the same weekend
Luhr and Bernhard drive for Manthey-Racing at the Nurburgring together with Mike Rockenfeller

"I've won that thing last year, now I want to win at the Nurburgring"
Mike Rockenfeller's answer why he doesn't show up at Le Mans
