61  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Goodwood Window Stickers on: June 05, 2008, 09:52:27 am
How did they fall into your possession then, BG? Goodwood were charging a premium for them (well, £2 or something  Grin ) last time I was at the FoS a couple of years back.

Lets just say that Goodwood don't have a tax problem!
62  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Goodwood Window Stickers on: May 29, 2008, 08:49:50 pm
If anyone wants Leaflets for Goodwood or window stickers for the Festival of Speed or the Revival Meeting, then call by and collect as I have a box of each to bring over.

Find the silver Omega estate with said stickers on Tetre Rouge from Wednesday evening onwards.

See you there

and what eye complaint would that be Piggers Sad

Tarquin the new stables lad (YTS) took umbridge at being shat on by 'Tentacles Dangling', Pigger's race horse.

As we both creased up laughing and in considerable pain, Tarquin poked Piggers in the eye. But before he did the same withme, dear old Tentacles rear hoofed hime through the door.

Haven't seen Tarquin since.

Liar

Tarquin put in an appearance at your birthday bash!
Didn't know that one of our crew was doing a bit of moonlighting!

Myself and Mrs BG should be able to make the feast. I can recommend the restaurant after out last visit there- even if it was a Brickwoods pub in a former life!
65  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Interesting Car Registration Numbers on: March 28, 2008, 09:51:33 am
I remember back in the early 80's at Le Mans the Rothman Porsche team were using a Porsche 928S as their runaround car (or it may have been Bells car I'm not sure) which had the registration THE 928S.

For those who know (or should that now be remember) Gales Ales from Horndean there should be a number plate somewhere which reads HSB 5X. SB was the registration for one of the Scottish regions and there are other HSB plates around.

sorry Chaps

Won't be able to make that one as I'll be on my way back from a 2 day course next week. Don't laugh but it's to "keep up my professional competance"

Hi BG, I gave up those when I became 'self-employed'.

If I don't know it, the sack me.
If I can't do it, they sack me.
If I um and ar, they sack me.

Besides the above, my Hol's are as and when I want them or, they are 'enforced'!!!!! (very, very few of the latter in nearly 20 years

Hols are when I want/can afford them. Unfortunately to remain a member of my profession I still have to do 20hrs CPD per year otherwise I get booted out and won't get any work!!

68  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: LPG Autogas on: March 22, 2008, 05:04:02 pm
I've seen these kits at my local camping and caravan store. Have looked at them as my car is converted to run on LPG. You get a cylinder that looks like a standrd gas cylinder that is plumbed into the filling system on the car so it fills the container as well as the car tank. The cylinder is then detachable for use remotely from the car. No experience of how camping equipment eg cookers and fridges etc run on this gas. I think the kit provides a regulator to fit the cylinder. Need someone experienced in fitting gas equipment to do the plumbing in to the car system and space in the boot for the cylinder.

Hi Pat

Glad to see you will be back this year.

There is no pitch numbering at Tetre Rouge YET! I have heard rumours that it will be numbered and allocated within the next few years.

However tickets are in short supply and I have had to resort to agents to find some as the ACO let me down. As you know this is not the first time as our meet up at the Netley Marsh autojumble a couple of years back was for the same reason.

If you haven't got tickets yet give me a pm and I'll let you know which agencies still have some.

regards
BG

Just try keeping me away .. my 27th this year  Grin Despite the best efforts of the trog-bitch-from-hell-soon-to-be-ex-missus (do I sound bitter?)...

Been there, done that and got the t shirtscars. Keep smiling Rick it does get better but they still remain trog-bitches-from-hell and try and stop you seeing your kids (delete the last bit if not appropriate). Not that i still have a chip on my shoulder or anything!
See you in June perhaps so we can berate ex-wives over a beer or several.
72  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: South Coast Chapter Meet No 3 or is it 4 now? on: February 06, 2008, 09:47:22 pm

Hi CA South Coasters,

Finally I'm finally booking 23rd February.

So I need to know numbers (I have several confirmations already).

For those 'possibly' staying over night, what are your preferences for 'brunch'? Parking available in street for those overnighting, dont worry road is safe, any classics arriving we'll make some room on the drive.

Would suggest parking for non stayers in main South Street car park. Or join us for a Champaign or two between 6-7 (PM me).

Would also suggest meeting between 7pm and 8pm at the Blue Bell PH in South Street (200yds from Restaurant) for 'Aperitifs'.

The list so far is;

Leftie and possibly 'erindorz' (Ruth)
Vernon (Leftie Senior)
Peter & Dierdre  (possibly) Room booked.
Rex (LPP) (posibly) Room booked
Black Granny & Mrs BG
Robspot
Robbo (possibly)
Rick Cutler
Ian & Lorna

Below is a map of Emsworth for reference.

Can I put an X marks the spot on the map to show where I used to live?

Normal service resumed. I'm having this month  Grin

I'll let you have this month. Missed yesterday due to having to go 'oop north' for the day for family reasons, and I'm going to Hungary for a few days in a couple of weeks.
74  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Dreamracers Quiz on: January 31, 2008, 08:47:32 pm
Sounds like we will have more competiton Rob Cool

Lambs to the slaughter Roll Eyes

Competition generally would be good but competition today is not. I've been knocked out of the Top 10 and am now in some danger of losing the month to the tax office fascist (no real offence meant  Grin

 Angry

You're in luck as we don't get to see todays score added to the total as they will start a new one tomorrow and wipe this months score. I would have knocked you off the top but you did miss a couple of days so you win.

By the way you've got an extra 24 hours to submit your tax return due to the website crashing under the strain today!
75  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Dreamracers Quiz on: January 29, 2008, 04:38:15 pm
Thanks I will just call in and beat your score Grin

Edit ... beat that, 24 seconds Cheesy

Well I can't make it too difficult for you can I?
