...Well then how did I post this??  Grin

Strange problem this, from my home broadband I can't access the site. To get access at the moment I've connected to my work VPN and I'm routing all my Internet traffic through the office.

Normally any other websites work fine, just clubarnage (and anything following it, the Le Mans guide for example) doesn't go anywhere.

I've tried pinging the domain from a command box and that isn't having any of it either!

Tried Opera, Firefox and IE, nothing from any of them.

Using the Rex Swain HTTP viewer over my home broadband can access the site.

This makes me think there some sort of IP restriction on the site? When I'm connected to the work VPN I'm coming from a different IP.

Any ideas? It's quite frustrating when you just want to check over the forums.

Cheers!

To my knowledge there are no such restrictions on the site.
The are a few IP addresses that are banned for spamming but you should get a page that tells you the IP address is banned.

You might need to give me more details about your IP address.  What IP address are youattempring to Ping.

I get issues like this quite a lot running through Virgin Media (not just this site!). It is nearly always a DNS issue with the ISP, and a reboot of all equipment, modem, home router etc. and an ip refresh on the pc fixes it for me.

We have been having the same problem with Virgin recently.
But only since they supposedly upgraded the system Angry

Yep, Virgin Media here.

My external IP is: 86.20.153.0 at the moment.

Tried the Router/Modem reboot, to no avail.

Like people have suggested, I'm sure the problem is with Virgin, but I've not encountered it with any other sites as yet!

One way to check if it is a DNS issue.

Try to access via the ip address. try this from home

I have just installed google chrome, and things seem to have speeded up, but that might be caused by everyone watching the footie, and not online.
Will repost if improvement is permanant.
