Chappel is where I started out on my first visit in 1991, by the bank overlooking the Bugatti circuit, fond memories of egging people on ("You've got more chance of finding the clitoris than the apex") and watching them be pulled out of the gravel by annoyed ACO officials once they buried their axels...   Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin

I too appear to be getting moved further afield each year.

How on earth do you get MB or Houx these days???  My order for this year was even faxed over on the Thursday after the event in 2002.  Please, can anyone shed light on this, as I am not that fit and all that walking cuts down on beer time  Angry

The Sud Ti will be there...!

I too will pack the tools, some spares, and have breakdown and Euro cover.  Not that I'll need any of it  Wink Grin

Bingo!  Cheers folks - the answer was so obvious... D'Oh
1130  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Virus warning... on: April 22, 2003, 11:38:31 pm
Upgrade to Internet Explorer 6 - that has Outlook Express 6 included with it, and has far less security loop holes in it and is safer than version 5.  Get the update direct from Microsoft's site... Urrgh!!!  Did I just say that - to visit Microsoft...?  I feel dirty and diseased now... Must go scrub....

If you are after AntiVirus, and cant be arsed (or are too tight) to pay try AVG 6 Free Version - it is exactly what is says, FREE!  Get it from www.grisoft.com - makes sure you get the free one and not the full corporate version on 30 day trial  Shocked  The updates are free and it doesnt take forever to download.

HI PM, Can't Spell, Can't Type, and Yes I was drinking AGAIN.
Canada Phil

You are lucky - I got told I had spread the rather nasty "thimbs up" disease earlier!

Maybe General "Ahve" and his "Advnce Gaurd" are some elite French unit that will be providing security at MB this year?!  Perhaps they are part of the "Republican Guard"?  Grin Wink Tongue
1132  Club Arnage / Help / Change of name? HELP PLEASE BOARD ADMIN?! on: April 22, 2003, 11:29:41 pm
One for the board admin.

In one of my less intelligent moments I registered as Dreamracers.com - is it possible for you to change my ID and drop the .com bit?  It does look a tad daft and come across like I am touting for hits (which I aint).

I have checked all round the user ID area, but the name is something i cant change there.

Help!

Ta!

Cool!  Watch out for the Red Sud Ti - I'm in Beausejour, but will be out and about on Friday, probably round Arnage.

Great new board!  It's off to a great start already.

Love the new Club Arnage logo in the top left - is that to be used on the rest of the site?  Gets the thimbs up from me  Grin
1137  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Which ferry on: April 22, 2003, 06:57:48 pm
We are on Portsmouth - Caen leaving Pompy at 22:30 on the Tuesday.

Blap blap the Sud on board, then hit the bar for a warm up session to the main event  Wink Grin
1138  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / Re:Camping site Beausejour on: April 22, 2003, 06:55:58 pm
Ended up in Beausejour last year - the place was beseiged by Danes and were a right laugh - even let us watch the England Denmark game in their beer tent!  We are even meeting up with two of them this year.

The map is great, but doesnt show just what a f**king long way it is from the start/finish.  BUT it is very close to the viewing area just by the start of the Porsche Curves.

Toilets were clean enough, no showers, generally an OK site, just miles from the main action.

We are in Beausejour again this year despite ordering our tickets 3 days after the 2002 event  Huh Angry  Watch out for the Red Sud!
1139  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Seatbelt laws - REAR SEATS! on: April 22, 2003, 06:50:29 pm
My rocket roller-skate is always under control...!  Shocked Wink

Thanks for the replies folks!  I think I may have found a way round it as I have heard that the belts from a late Sprint will fit a late Sud as the mounts are there, just no belts!  So I will try to hunt some down.  Failing that I may try some from the wifes 33 that is about to meet its maker.

If not, then, I will risk it for a biscuit.
1140  Club Arnage / Help / Seatbelt laws - REAR SEATS! on: April 21, 2003, 05:17:46 pm
My pocket rocket 1.3Ti Sud (series 3), complete with the odd brown patch (here and there) will be making the trip this year. I decided that I should take her as I havent in recent years seen another Sud there...?

Important question;

SEATBELTS - The Sud (regd in 1983) doesnt have rear belts. Where do I stand with the Gendarme (sp.) and their enthusiasm for on the spot 'pocket money', I mean on the spot fines... ?
