I used to like it but it's now got very predictable as they tend to repeat the same format.
Very successful but getting boring and I do get a bit tired of Mr Clarkson's rantings.

I thought it was alright. I mean if you put it in competitive peak viewing time then it would struggle. But its fine on a Sunday, a better option than Monarch of the Glen, Fartbeat and Last of the Summer Whine!! That’s for sure.

My Frogeye was on Fifth Gear once and we got interviewed by a stressed out mr Nidell (sp?) at HA two years ago.
Blink and you would have missed us.
Would have preferred VBH though.
Is it my imagination or does she seem to do the voice over for every blokes ad on the telly these days?

Granted this weeks Top Gear was very poor on car articles and I too have no interest in some bloke who's been in a couple of shitty dramas that I've never heard of but James May had me pissing myself a couple of times.

Firstly when confronted with a low bridge with mast up he proclaimed "Oh, Cock!" and secondly when trying to sail his Herald he muttered "Come on you bitch!" Not in themselves very funny but it's just the way he says it that makes me laugh.

Oh and I thought the new Corsa looks great  Grin

It thought was quite a good laugh, if not very informative about proper motoring matters!

I cant stand 5th gear... actually no - I cant stand Tiff.  Tiff Needel makes me want to squirt mace into my own eyes n shove bread into my ears - why wont he stop twitching? ................ Lips Sealed

VBH is ok, except when she does that squeaking noise like nails on a blackboard.

I like Jason Plato quite a lot tho, so watch it just for his bits.... how about the Girl Aloud who frightened the pants off him and then crunched the Ferrari!!!  Cheesy

Having said that, I do watch them both regularly - but not having any fancy channels there is not much option!  Roll Eyes

I agree with Fran. I watched it on sunday, but owing to spending four hours quality time in the pub on sunday pm and finding the spectacle of Jeremy's "boat" turning turtle hilarious, I decided it wasn't fair to offer an opinion.

However, I watched the repeat last night (entirely sober) and the utter childishness of it had me in stitches yet again. Agreed, not too much on proper cars, but I disagree that Philip Glennister is an unknown actor.

In their defence, I think the TG team have some problems with the council with the granting of planning consent for use of the studio. So that could be having a reducing effect on how many "from studio" items they can film.
