Just had the following from Motors TV:

'Le Mans: A Century Of Passion' comes to Motors TV
With the 77th Le Mans 24 Hours just weeks away, Motors TV will broadcast a special hour-long documentary celebrating 100 years of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest - Le Mans: A Century Of Passion.

The programme looks back over the decades, discovering how the ACO organised the first ever Grand Prix in 1906 and became one of the most important governing bodies in international motorsport. The documentary also analyses its role in the development of the world's most famous endurance race, the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Viewers will enjoy archive footage of the those that helped create the legend of Le Mans, including the drivers, cars and their record breaking achievements. From Bentley and Alfa Romeo in the race’s formative years, through to the legendary Ford GT40s and Porsche's domination of the 1980s, arrival of the Japanese constructors and the first victory for a diesel-powered car in the shape of Audi's R10 in 2006.

Stunning picture archives are interspersed with interviews with some of the most iconic figures in the race’s history, including Henri Pescarolo, Jacky Ickx and Tom Kristensen.

A voyage through a century of passion is not to be missed on Saturday 6 June on Motors TV.

Le Mans: A Century Of Passion: Saturday, 6 June at 9.15pm plus multiple re-runs.

A nice little warm-up for the following weekend Grin
