LMES Monza
The list currently for the first LMES race at Monza looks like the cream of sportscar racing will be present. From Europe only Racing for Holland is absent as Jan is suffering from only receiving one entry at Le Mans. The second Dome is first reserve at present which seems a poor reward for the teams past performances and Le Mans support. Jan also feels that the “675” DBA/Zytek cars are at an advantage to the LMP900 cars in power to weight terms and feels it will be difficult to compete on a level playing field. Certainly the recent performance of the Creation DBA at Paul Ricard would seem to suggest that we have a properly developed 675 that can now realistically compete with the Audi particularly over less than 24 hrs. The only other top prototypes I can think of that could add to the field are the Champion Audi and Dyson Lolas from the ALMS in LMP1 and some of the ALMS LMP2 teams.
GTS and GT are equally representative with only Corvette missing from GTS. It is perhaps surprising that only Intersport of the American based teams over for Le Mans have entered Monza
