It was the last chance for people in Lincolnshire to see the Vulcan bomber in action on Friday. Crowds gathered at RAF Waddington to watch the Vulcan XH558, which was delivered to the base in 1960, take off and perform a special flypast. The Vulcan's engines will reach the end of their life next year and Waddington's runway will also be out of service for repairs in 2015.

Its a miss at the Sunderland Airshow. We got the Battle of Britain memorial flight this year and weather permitting I'll be watching it from the boat, camera in hand.

I love that 1st photo Bonio.  Smiley

For anyone in the Lincoln / Waddington area, XH558 will be landing at Waddington again today, Wednesday 20th @ 15:00 hrs. She is staying overnight and will be joined on the ground at Waddington at 10 am by both Lancasters for a photo shoot in front of a public parking area being set up for the event.

Both Lancasters will take off at approx 2 pm on Thursday and depart, followed by XH558  as she sets off for Clacton on Sea airshow.

Another forum says:

From the Vulcan site.

Although we can’t be exact to the actual route, there are three key places where you should catch a glimpse of the three-ship formation.

- Overhead the eastern edge of Lincoln at approx. 13:30
- Overhead RAF Coningsby at 13:45
- Overhead RAF Marham at 14:00

All times approx. and are subject to change. Watch our Twitter feed, Facebook page or App Tracker for the latest positional and timing reports.

There is also a good map of the routing

We're looking at slot start today of 1416 for the flypast at Marham - arriving together - of the Vulcan, with both Lancs, a Spitfire and a Hurricane; then followed by their various displays before the slot time ends at 1445.

If in the area, then other stuff is displaying from 1200 through until 1630.

All in support of RAF Marham Families Day, which is a station event for RAF Marham personnel and families - hence, sadly, I haven't been able to cast the net wider to get others in.

Very fortunate, it was a similar sight and sound at  Marham.  It was emotional....
