If you do get the exteneded warranty, make sure you read all the small print. Parents bought a TV that they could claim back the cost of the cover if not used after the three years. When they tried to claim it back they were told they had not registered the TV and therefor they couldn't claim the money back.

Are they supposed to be HD ready or something now? Or does this apply only to standard TV's?
