What time was the queue at the péage?

I don't need to be in Dieppe until 23:30 Sunday night, so aiming to leave the campsite around  19:00/20:00

Should I use J13 of the A28 at Malleville & detour off to the west?

Thx

It's ok, that'll polish out, no problem.

Lewis Hamilton was banned from driving in France, and France only.

So I do not think that there is a bilateral agreement on speeding fines.

At least I hope not as I got flashed by a camera in Reims last Sunday  Grin

The fixed ones are well signposted

Additionally I purchased a new copy of the "Michelin Atlas Routier France 2008" last week, which gives the locations of all "radars fixes"

Happy to advise of their location if you give me your route.

Landman.

Just returned from a week's hols in France.

Petrol is €1.50 off the autoroute and an extra 10c on.

Diesel is €1.40 off and an extra 10c on.

Seems unbelievable that in the summer of 2005 diesel was €1/litre and even last year I reckon I was paying the equivalent of £0.75/litre.

These prices do mean that for once I reckon that UK petrol [not diesel] prices are less than France

€ 1.60 = 1.25685987 UK£
€ 1.50 = 1.17830613 UK£ [I paid £1.15/litre at BP in Dover, my local Shell is 3p/litre cheaper]
€ 1.40 = 1.09975239 UK£

Conversions courtesy of Google.

Spare Bulbs and a warning triangle, required by law in France I think and a swiss army knife has come in useful over the years.

btw, My car does not have a spare wheel, it has run flat tyres (not alot of help if one blows out I think and only good for about 50 miles) but are they legal in France?

Perfectly legal - at least I hope so as I know a guy that lives in Paris & he has run flats on his car.  I only have one of these "mobility systems" on my car and I guess that they are also legal as Ford sell 'em in France.
1106  Club Arnage / 2008 / Re: Need a lift???? on: May 07, 2008, 11:09:53 pm
Likewise, I can offer a seat [or two] if anyone needs a lift from the south coast.

Departing Southampton Thurs evening to Dieppe via Newhaven.

Return Sunday night to So'ton via Dieppe & Newhaven.

LD Lines, so guess that same rates apply as per previous post.

Earplugs?

Most useful when companions are trying to suggest "it's your round"

Flew in a Dak courtesy of Air Atlantique a few years ago.

They used to do an open day at Coventry and allowed you to access all areas.

Superb day out and not pricey

Highlight was the Dak ride, up to Brunters and back.  Noisy, but fun!

What we really wanted was a ride in the Shackleton

ooh! contra rotating props anyone?

Seen a Vulcan fly many a time.

Glorious noise and a wonderful site.

Hope all is well with the bird.
