Sometimes when I reflect on all the beer I drink, I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and
dreams.
If I didn't drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. I think,

-- Babe Ruth

An intelligent man is sometimes forced to be drunk to spend time with

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.
-- Paul Hornung

When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all
get drunk and go to heaven!
-- George Bernard Shaw

Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
-- Benjamin Franklin

Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly
as well with pizza.

Looks like the signatures in the profiles of a number of CA members could be added to the above list Nordic.

That quote is a variant of the one from someone with a very strong link to Le Mans.........

Paul Newman has appealed to Princeton University to end a campus tradition in which drinkers try to consume a beer an hour for 24 hours. Newman’s Day derives its name from an apocryphal quote attributed to the actor:

"Twenty-four beers in a case, 24 hours in a day. Coincidence? I think not."

Anyone who can't consume a beer an hour for 24 hours doesn't deserve to be at university/college let alone anywhere near motor racing.

Personally I'm more in favour of a centurian. 100 shots of lager in 100 minutes, one shot a minute (using a 50ml shot glass).

Other variations yet to try are using wine (probably need a smaller shot glass) and 25cl bottles of lager, although this option would mean drinking 25 litres of beer in one hour forty minutes. Any takers?

As many cases of beer have 4 extra free bottles, does this mean we can look forward to a 28 Heures du Mans?
