Just saying hi!
My first time going. I'm driving from Stuttgart, and will be accompanied by 3 good friends from the States.
I've been waiting to go to Le Mans all my life, now 37 years later, I'm finally doing it. Cheesy
Can't wait to go deaf from the sounds of heaven for 24 hours. Rooting for Peugeot and Aston Martin, although every car out there is a winner...

I'd rather have another Tropillama!

Welcome MobileTradition1,  I some how think you'll not go deaf it's a bit late for that.  These day the car seem to be powered by Silence.

Did you hear that?
No!
Ahh  it must have been an Audi.

Good point! However, the Corvettes more than make up for it. I went to the 12 hrs of Sebring a few years back to see the Bentleys, and I can honestly say that I should have wore my earplugs more. Oh well, if I go deaf, it means I don't have to listen to the missus when I get back... Grin

Hey MobileTradition1,

There are certainly some good engines to listen out for. The corvettes being one and i particularly like the spyker and the morgan when that was racing. The drag from the audis however are louder than the car itself. We need to get big Don back on the pit lane. "Sounds like thunder, goes like lightning"

Corvette
Aston
Lambo
Ferrari

Glorious sounds Grin

Audi
Peugeot

The Sound of Silence. Sad

First car I ever heard starting up at LM was a Panoz followed by a Corvette, from that moment I was hooked, and I was standing in Bleu campsite, not trackside. Smiley

How could I forget the Panoz LMP?!
I saw/heard that thing at Laguna Seca around 2002 (and on the San Jose streets a few days prior to the ALMS race), and it was easily the loudest thing I've ever heard.
Oh, but what a mean sound!
