Well as everyone might guess, 2012 has been about the shittiest year of my life, having lost our best man, an old schoolmate, in February, as well as Deb in September, of course. Indeed, of the 6 of us at our (intentionally!) tiny wedding ceremony in 1974, three are now dead from cancer, which seems a bit unfair.

But - hey, life goes on, and I've coped ok so far. I will repeat what I hope I said at the time - CA meant a great deal to Deb, and your warmth over the years, and especially during the tough times in the last 4 years, has certainly helped me too.

But my troubles are not really yours, and I sincerely hope that everyone gets suitably wrecked tonight, has a good New Year, and that 2013 brings us all a little more of whatever we lack.

I look forward to seeing many of you in June!

Happy new year Mr T. I hope 2013 is a lot better than 2012 and i look forward to meeting you in a field in france in june. I intend to celebrate tonight with far too much beer and will probably fall over a lot!

Happy new year to everyone

All the best Ian, I certainly hope you have a better 2013 and remembering the many good times helps you through the dark times.
Looking forwards to seeing you and the rest of the reprobates from CA in June.

Thanks Ian and all the best to you. Things are not quite the same here without Deb, and you calling in from time to time help us feel a connection, and remind us of the better times, so please keep calling by.

Not a big boozer, but I'll be sure to raise a glass or two to my CA friends tonight. Here's to a much better 2013 with fewer tears.

You're either at Le Mans, or waiting for Le Mans!

A belated Happy new Year to you Ian (and everyone else at CA).
It was great to hear from you before Christmas, apologies for not replying as I don't have your address.

Happy new year to all of you - Roll on June! I'm already looking forward to put the 8th edition of the CA guide together! I might ask for some more help when times comes - termie's departure has left an enormous gap ...  Sad
