Sounds like you oughta buy both to me!! The games tend to look better on Xbox but some prefer the PS2 controllers & there are some PS2 only games like the aforementioned (& great) GT4!! JPC has a good point, it's the games that cost the major money, so get both & get them chipped then you pay a little more for the systems but almost nothing after that. It all depends on how immoral you can allow yourself to be??

i have 2 consoles, a gamecube which i bought a few years ago and have about 20 games for and a ps2, which i bought very recently for the sole reason being to play gt4 (which as has been mentioned a few times is an excellent game) the xbox is very good for its online multiplayer games, and genral graphics

I got GT4 a few days ago and the graphics are so much better then GT3. Everything just looks smoother (as your pictures testify Rick). If you are crap at racing games like me and you have played GT3 you can transfer up to 100,000 credits to GT4 which allows you to get a better first car. I would recommend the HPA Motorsports R32. It costs about 30 grand (cheaper than the stock R32) and its got 550 BHP. Doesn't power slide though because the traction control is too good!!

How much for a 41 year old driver in Colchester for fully comprehensive with maximum no claims?

The car actually exists in real life too. They are a company in Canada who do silly things to golfs. Check out the link, there is a video about half way down. http://hpamotorsports.com/r32.htm35,000 dollars seems very reasonable to me. That doesn't include the price of the car of course.
