Mulsanne on a sunny June Sunday; it's a hard life!

Much as I would love it to be Brands again after all these years (many a wet Sunday as a wee lad spent playing on South Bank!)......

Fond memories of Dingle's Dell too (oo-er missus!).

Anyway, fear the jingle of corporate pennies have got the better of things again and the featureless F1ville that is Sliverstone will get the nod  Sad

You don't win Le Mans - you outlast it.

I read somewhere that it was going to be Silverstone, I thought I saw it on the Le Mans series website or the ACO site?

Brands is becoming THE circuit in the UK with a mix of history and feel-good factor.  Please not Silverstone, it
's drab and you always feel as if it is built just for F1 and that everything else is just a nuisance.

Silverstone is just dull.

As has been said, it seems that it has been re-created for F1 only. Even the LMES cars look out of place against the featureless backdrop.

Anywhere but Silverstone.

As comments above, PLEASE NOT SILVERSTONE.  The place is so souless nowadays.
As I mentioned on another similar thread, I would hope it would be Brands Hatch.  Mind you, Snetterton would be 'interesting'.

Fran, whats up chuck,  Wink

We have a few southerners up here for some "conference" or other so its absolutely chaos with all the extra police and security measures - not to mention the armoured limousines and helicopters.... bunch of softies!

Other than that.......its drizzling slightly   Roll Eyes

Apart from the financial bit, Silverstone is likely to get the race because of the track itself, which can host the LMS grid better than other tracks. At Jarama, there were many teams complaining about the lack of space to overtake and Motors TV mentioned they are looking at tracks with F1 like facilities now.
