Just pulled this off the ACO site;

'The highpoint will be on Friday 12th June with an autograph signing session in Arnage by the works Audi and Porsche German drivers, an exhibition of Audis and Porsches that have won Le Mans and a parade in the town itself to the tune of a Bavarian band!'

Doen't say what time though.

Some time before the Drivers Parade I would imagine,  sounds like it will cause chaos in Arnage though!

And why only German drivers?

Hopefully that means it will be less busy in the pits so I can get a good look at the Aston.   Grin

It's some thing to do with encouraging German fans to come to the 24.
Linked with a combined entrance ticket for the 24 plus the Nurburgring 24.
€99  for both apparently.

I too was stopped at a couple of the gates with my bike. Easiest if you go in the MB entry.

We take bikes every year (my classic BMX collection) but use inside the track after thursday morning is a pain in the back end due to all the people.
However, it was fab to ride down from the Dunlop bridge to MB on the track after we found the open gate on HA.
Must post my pic of Sausage on Lady pp's postie bike under the bridge... one of the best of the year.

In 3 weeks time we will be waiting for the ferry Grin Wooooooooooooo

Thx for the warning.

Had thought more about "exterior" use such as cycling to Arnage corner/village rather than inside the course.

Yes I have got a lock, or two  Wink

We mainly used the bikes for visiting people on other sites.... That wont be quite such an issue this year Grin

We got our bikes into the circuit very early Sat. morning without a problem, but got a b*llocking on the way OUT late afternoon  Undecided

Basic message was DON'T DO IT AGAIN!  Embarrassed

If you really need to bike it to the circuit, you could always lock the bike(s) to the fencing/barriers at the entrance(s) as many, many others had done. Recommend good locks and removing anything 'removable' to ensure to come back to all that you left!

Going back to the OP's question, I reckon it is German cars because Audi provide cars to the ACO. I am hearing rumours that the Mulsanne/Arnage road will be showing a display of German cars next year too, but the road will be closed to us as normal nowadays.
