Below is the current list of 4 and 2 wheel entered for the event, couple of interesting topical motors;

1995        McLaren F1 - Harrods Le Mans winning car

It came third from memory.  Huh Ueno Clinic won that year, I remember I was wearing a black binbag as it crossed the line.

Is there any plan for meeting up for a swift half on Sunday (or Saturday night in the campsite for those who are staying overnight)?

I'm there all day Sat and Sun but not staying overnight. So any time is OK for me.

Love the way that 2004 and 2005 comes before 2003!

Lets try for 1 p.m. (there is a lunch break for the cars/bikes) at the Pageant Bar which is near the bridge (according to the site plan).

Sounds OK, 1pm Sunday at the bar. If not I'll be with the quattro mob by the circuit.

Would  that I could but join ye merry japesters oop north

but

Sattiday I have orders to "garden"!

Or else

and on Sunday I will be down in deepest white stilletto country helping Garyfrogeye and Toby turn several bucketloads of bits into a rather respectable Frogeye racer

But at some time in the day I will raise a glass to absent friends*

*or a can, I'm proud but not daft... Wink

Did look for you Fran in between watching the Huey helicopter but didn't spot you. Ben was looking as well, but his attention span is a bit short !!

I was watching the chopper at 1 too, but had a scout round the bar afterwards and found no-one!

I came past the Audi club pitch early'ish but everyone was zipped into the gazebo and I didnt see your car there anyway Gordon.  When I came past again after the boat race finished everyone was upped and gone!

Was a great day, endless chances to get run over by exotic machinery in the paddock area!!

Some lovely cars, bikes and boats.  I had front row seat the for the boat crash at the end - luckily no-one hurt but some pretty extensive damage to both boats - one appeared to be sinking quite fast!

One of the highlights was the cup cake stand.. yummmy!  Tongue

Sorry not to have spotted any of the CA'ers, but I would certainly go again next year.

Anyone know what happened to the Le Mans Bentey - saw it go out, but it never came back again, not even on the back of a truck!

F

P.S.  I have simply got to look into SatNav - I got lost on the way there (accident closed road) and on the way home again (poor sign reading on my part).

Mine was the black one at the front of the tent alongside the red and white quatros. As we'd all been there for two days we left after the track action finished, but what a fab couple of days.
I got Derek Bell to sign a picture of himself from 1968, he was gobsmacked to say the least and we ended up having a good chat !!
Best car for me was the Napier Bently, what an awesome sight on full song especially away from the start !!
Sorry to have missed you , I think we must have passed going back and to looking at the Huey!!

Ohh - I thought yours was a kinda dark burgundy colour... you must have been there after all - there were 2 black ones when I came by first time.

Derek Bell seemed to have a pretty big grin on his face every time I saw him!  Do you know who "Lorina McLaughlin" is?  She was driving the ex-Schumacher Benetton.  I have googled and found references to her racing F1 historics, but did she drive when she was younger?

There were certainly some weird and wonderful machines there.

No I'd not come across her before, so not sure what  her history is.
This was mine by the gazebo....
