Post by: Kev_mk3 on June 13, 2016, 09:20:06 pm
Last minute as standard. I have Uk cover with RAC but they want near £200!! (no customer loyalty as been with them for 8 years!)

Im doing 3 trips over the next few months so best get a annual coverage any ideas?

Kev,

I booked a one time trip with RAC for £70 for the week, but Direct Line offered Green Flag UK and European for the next six months for £110 (I think).

Aricus

I looked at the RAC through the Camping and Caravan Club as I need to tow a long caravan but in a flash of inspiration remembered I am a member of the CSMA.  £76 I have european coverage for the year including recovery of the caravan.  Bargain.

I was thinking Adac but seems a nightmare to get a new policy being British! I'll ring RAC tomorrow see what they say

Kev, although it might be a bit late check out your banks Premium Account, a number are including European Break down. For example the Nationwide Premium account for a tenner includes European breakdown, global travel insurance and gadget insurance.
Not that I've got and account with them, but would it help if I gave my account details out !!!!!

I've got my cover through the CSMA too. Added the second car and got both covered for European breakdown. Policy is due for renewal in August and so it only cost me £16 to 'upgrade'.  ;D
