1  Club Arnage / General Discussion / TV Coverage on: May 02, 2009, 07:40:56 am
For those of us who can't make it to Le Mans this year, does anyone know what TV coverage there is in UK and who is providing it?
2  Club Arnage / 2013 / Re: Lotus 7 Club Trip spaces available to non members on: January 23, 2009, 12:05:31 pm
No you don't need to be in a 7 to join in.
Firstly let me stress this is a non profit making thing. The Lotus 7 Club are committed to a very large camping space and in view of the recession they are unable to fill it. Spaces are therefore being offered to others in order that the trip can still go ahead and to help ensure that the Lotus 7 club do not make a loss.
The cost of the trip is £300/car (Maximum 4 occupants). This excludes Circuit Entry tickets which will be charged at Cost plus a small management fee (to cover exchange rates and other bank charges).  Estimated cost of General Entry ticket is £62 each.

For that you get:-

* A pitch to camp on (tents not provided)
* Gas BBQs which you are free to use
* Tea & coffee available throughout the trip
* Live band/disco on the Friday evening
* Large Marquee to shelter in from the sun/rain
* Private electric hot showers
* Security teams to watch our camp site whilst some of you sleep
* Power to charge your electrical items
* Use of chillers to provide cold beers (beer not provided)
* Satellite TV on a huge rear projection screen (subject to availability)
* 2 X BBQs cooked by club members on Friday & Sunday
* Direct viewing of the burn outs on mad Friday

If you know of anyone interested in booking please direct them to the Lotus 7 Club website where they can download the entry form or ask them to ring the Membership Sec. Sam Pearce on 07000 572582.

3  Club Arnage / 2013 / Lotus 7 Club Trip possible spaces available on: January 17, 2009, 10:31:35 am
Hi
Hope this doesn't break protocol here.

The Lotus 7 Club have a large section of Camping Blue South reserved each year, there is probably space for 150 cars and camping adjacent.

With the state of the Euro etc etc there are some places free, this is NOT run for profit, but if there are any groups/individuals looking to join us then you are welcome. The club try and run a slick operation with some catering/ food/ hot showers/ chilled beer fridges though not the beer/ large satellite tv/ marquees/ live band/ phone charging/ hot showers/ security/ right next to the fun on Mad Friday/ hot showers/ entry tickets etc, did I mention the hot showers. All for £300ish each with a £10 charge for temporary membership or why not become a full member for £42 and have a full years membership with monthly magazine.

If you want more details contact memsec@lotus7club.com

I am writing this not as one of the organisers, but just to pass on the opportunity for others to take part in a super trip with excellent facilities and to ensure that there are sufficient numbers for the trip to take place.
See http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?Id=160254 it is now open to others and you don't need to be driving a 7. So come on down, booking form http://www.lotussevenclub.com/WhatsOn/BookingEntry...

I'll be there. Ferry booked overnight on the Tuesday from Portsmouth to Le Havre to arrive mid afternoon on Wednesday.
Anyone got any info on the dress code for the paddock?

Risky and Lancs Se7en will be at Interieur Musee along with the rest of the LADS (Lancashire And District Sevens). Hoping to arrive mainly Wednesday - using Speedferries.
Looking to get party tent up in record time this year - We've now got instructions.
A warm beer awaits fellow CA'ers.

Yes watched the video, but not Pikes Peak, I watched a rather entertaining 7 minutes of rally crashes instead.

"So what are you doing coming onto CA and posting stuff"......I'm getting excited about Le Mans already, but you're right I should be on Beermountain - 'I'll get my coat'

What are you doing messing about on Youtube and CA - You should be working!!!
12  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Different campsite on: December 21, 2006, 10:30:21 pm
Hands Up Tony. I think we've been sussed.
On a more serious note, I think at this stage, many of the campsites are fully booked. When we were left in the lurch and told that Musee was not available, we had only limited choice, or was that just because our supplier (Just Tickets) had shifted their allocations?
Whatever. My advice would be to ring round and see whats available and then see what options there are, but don't leave it too late!!
13  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Different campsite on: December 21, 2006, 11:15:16 am
We stay at Musee also and it looks like it will be our last in 2007. It's dusty and very noisy with no facilities - as Tony T says you'll be better off elsewhere.
14  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Musee Reborn!!!!!! on: December 15, 2006, 03:39:43 pm
Tony
Glad to hear you are back at La Musee. We too have been notified by Just Tickets that we have been allocated spaces on La Musee for 2007. We're taking a different route in 2007 (using Speedferries and mainly sensible tintop cars) and therefore won't be arriving until Thursday morning or midnight Wednesday at the very earliest. If you're there before us, see what you can do to save us some space!!
Clearly we won't have La Musee for 2008, so we'll be doing some research on suitable sites during our 2007 stay. I'd be interested to discuss your plans for 2008 over a beer one evening.
See you there.

Tony
Seems like our choice is limited at this stage. Maison B and all the popular sites are gone. Looks like we're going to give Tertre Rouge a try. We're hoping facilities are going to be OK. We understand there will be showers and loos and we're hoping they might be new (and finished!!) as this is a 'new' camp site. Hopefully it will not be too big, but we'll miss Musee.
Let us know which site you finally decide on.
