The weather man has problems telling what the weather is now ...
P*ssing down, just in case you wanted to know.

The first genuine rain for six weeks or so.  I knew it would be saving it all up for June. Roll Eyes

Crikey, Tom, I see that the forecast temps for race weekend  have taken a 10 degree hike in 24 hours!  Getting more like it every minute.

Update from the centre of the Universe : Warm and sunny with a pleasant breeze today.

I did wonder about trying to work out what times they revised the forecast during the day.  But these huge jumps or drops make me belive they don't have a clue.

If you want to know what the weather will be like on the 12/13th ask on the 14th I tell you for certain.,

Would it be possible to add Monday's forecast? Will we have to take down the tent in rain or sun?

Probably like many people we will be travelling back to the UK that day.

Thanks

I'm following francemeteo.fr, they should be very accurate.
Up until Sunday it looks great, 27° C and sunny, Monday 20° and sunny, Tuesday 19° and showers, Wednesday and Thursday 20° and possible thunderstorms.

Now there is something you need to know about Computer Programmers particularly one that are as old as I am. :-)

Q.  Would it be possible to add Monday's forecast?
A.  Yes.

Q. Will we have to take down the tent in rain or sun?
A.  No.

My guess is your really after more detail than a simple yes/no answer.

The whole point of the page is to show what a load of old tosh the weather forecast is.  It's not meant to used for planning anything.
Even in the fine weather you need to have some warm stuff of the evenings and nights.  You really can't chance not taking waterproofs.

So you might like to ask

Q.  Will you make the change.
A.  No.

The long answer is.

With out testing I'm not sure if I can just change the script to go on to Monday.  I'm pretty much out of time for such things given I have a Wedding to attend on Saturday and a motor Race to go to on Monday.   So rather than change it and break it I'll leave it alone at this late stage.  I will however bear it in mind for next year.   But my memory is not what it used to be so please remind me nearer the time.

With regards to the "Will we have to take down the tent in rain or sun?"   Well "No" is the only sensible answer I can give.
I don't have the information to know under what conditions you would leave the tent up.

So to go back to my first comment.  Lets say your driving a car and I'm the passenger,   We come to the end of the road as 'T' junction.  You ask
"Should I go Left or Right"?
There are two possible answers "Yes, go Left or Right" and "No, Turn around and go back".

Why should they be any better than any of the other sources of weather forecasts?
It just looks like domain parking to me.

You could always look at one of the weather sites, like Accuweather!
http://www.accuweather.com/world-forecast-15day.asp?partner=accuweather&myadc=0&traveler=0&zipcode=EUR;FR;-;LE%20MANS;&metric=1

But, as we all know, weather forecasts are rarely that accurate, so don't worry till Monday,  stick your head out of the tent and then you will know what the weather is like.  The weather will be what the weather will be!

Totally agree Geoff.

Given the somewhat poor record of weather forecasting.   I think it's best to start from the belief the weather will be exactly what you don't want.
Then when it arrives and it's closer to what you want your happy.   Wink Wink Wink Wink

My personal forecast is :---

There will be weather every day.  Cool Cool Cool Cool

T,

At least they had the right forecast back in april with the LMS race @ Paul Ricard ...
Anyway, it's always a lottery all those forecasts.

That fine, I thought it might just be an easy option to add a day. I did not realise all the script had to be changed.

I agree the long range forecast is seldom accurate, however when it gets to about a week away the accuracy improves and it is quite good to see the general outlook they expect.

And yes I can visit the weather sites but the programme done by lawnmowerman is good in that it shows all the history all in one place.
