Having opted out of the ACO lottery for camping tickets some time ago, I just thought I would share with you the fact that I have now had my allocation confirmed from a rather expensive but hopefully trustworthy sorce. Cheesy

Just waiting to see what Grandstand tickets we are allocated from the ACO now. Undecided

I thought those nice people at the ACO had posted the 'letters of disappointment' early when I read the thread title!

First couple of weeks in December, isn't it?

My 2006 letter (sorry, '05) was dated 21st December, if that helps.

Crikey! Good work that man! That reminds me I'd better get on to the ACO and get a ticket reservation in for 3 x MB and 2 x La gache grandstand seats.

Having sent my fax in March, I'd be bitterly disapointed if we'd be re-allocated to Beauséjour or Camping Bleu Undecided

Booked mine in March but still unsure whether I am going or not, as I mentioned on another topic Condor are being complete shxts and not running from Guernsey until 16.30  Bastxxrds, they screwed Emeraude who were a French company and doing a great service.

This, mind you, is not the reason why I might not go however, I just want a bit more variety... I am sure a lot of you can understand that.

Well I'm delighted to say that I had an email this morning at 08.25. It was from the wonderful Caroline in the ACO booking office saying my MB allocation is obviously secure and I'll be receiving the confirmation and invoice in the post in a couple of weeks time. I like to think that Caroline and I have a kind of James Bond/Miss Moneypenny type relationship.

But does she bear as much resemblance to Miss Moneypenny as you do to James Bond?

I'm very similar to Sean obviously, except for my hair. You do realise of course that Connery was a rug wearer in the later Bond films and that I would never stoop so low. As far Caroline is concerned, i think she looks more like the stunningly beautiful French actress Isabel Adjani.

Yeah, never did get the rug thing myself, Andy.  What is that?

No wonder you like phoning her up, though.  Especially when she tells you just what you want to hear. Grin

Just booked my ticket for Sebring, does that count? What with the dollar being so low, I thought the timing was about right... Also thinking about buying my $$s soon...
