Carrefour should be open on Monday 9th even if it's a bank holiday (business is business).

I've just finished the supermarket map which is ready to publish. As it sizes a little more than 100 ko (120ko indeed), I can't post it directly on the forum, so ask me by mail until I find a technical solution
1294  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Le Mans 2004 Mass Camping Booking on: May 22, 2003, 09:22:35 pm
I have two sources to pursue, one in the ACO and one elsewhere.

Initially I am just going to suggest that we may be interested in 150+ camping places and see what reaction I get.

I'll explore different options and report back, probably after the event this year. I'm assuming that people will be prepared to commit (i.e. cash) MUCH earlier than they may be used to.

If the idea starts to take off then we can have a discussion about how far we want to go (facilities etc).

Smokie I suggest you and CA officials a meet during the week of the race and a meet after with ACO staff to ask what can they do for us for 2004 campsite.

What do you think about it?
1295  Club Arnage / 2007 and earlier / 2 people condo to rent on: May 22, 2003, 05:03:16 pm
Got a 2-people condo to rent

From the day you want to the day you want

It's located 150 m from the railway station

You've your own bathroom and kitchen with all the tableware and glassware

There's a 2-people bedroom

For the amount of 600 euros

It maybe quite more expoensive than campsite, but it's not the same prestation  Wink

Mail me for more details

You're right Kpy, the myth of the control of toll ticket is a myth, because it would be judged as illegal by any French attorney. Don't ask me why, that the reason why some French people pay for ACO: having a legal assitance to not pay ther fine and lost the least possible points on their driving licence.

For all of you guys, drive safe. A french fine amount represents too many beer and champagne bottles to tkae the risk to be as thirst as your wallet.
1299  Club Arnage / Help / Re:Le camping - le sold out -what now? on: May 21, 2003, 08:46:06 pm
Last year Aco set up an extra "expanding" campsite in the Blue car park. I'm sure they'll do that again this year. Don't panic!

Kpy, you maybe right. they're digging and lifting blue park these days, and obviously not only for the Grand prix de France Moto. A pair of wc boxes has be set up, so the car park may become an extra campsite. During the Lemans Classic, it was the only one campsite available however!

Hi Matt,

As you already noticed, I'm based in france, so if you're looking for some parts which won't be available in your country, probably the best way to find them is France.

These days I begin to restorate a 63' Panhard PL17 which is a French air-cooled flat-twin sedan. So I've got many contacts in calssic cars here in France, just missed to buy a Simca van 2 years ago.
1301  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Camping Cooker Bargain on: May 20, 2003, 10:39:17 pm
you'll be able to find such bargains in France also

So don't hesitate and save room for other more usable stuffs during the trip

1305  Club Arnage / General Discussion / I've got your map ! on: May 20, 2003, 12:49:31 pm
Can anyone help us out on a way to get to the restaurant on the Mulsanne straight without driving???

Having a driver that's not over the limit for Saturday night will be near impossible but we really want to get there this year. We've had on guy volounteer but woth 13 of us he'll be shuttling backwards and forwards all night!!

Maps I've seen seem to show small roads or tracks across the centre of the circuit. Are these crossable or closed of by the Gendarmerie.

Thanks in advance.

JPC, I've got your map with the itinerary from the "Chemin aux Boeufs" to the restaurant. I draw the way by car, but as you'll have the map, you'll be able to find the shortest way by bike or foot.

Where can I mail you this map?
