I am amazed that not only in the camp sites, but on the flag poles in the stadium the English union flag was flying upside down. The ignorance of people when told their flag was  the wrong way up shows up the lack of education in our schools.

The flag on the Dreamracers Sud was proudly the wrong way up.  Some gimp at the end of the row had not one but two flags upside down - should have asked what the matter of distress was  Grin

Glad I wasnt the only one to notice the ACO's error on top of the pitlane grandstand!

I get round any potential disasters such as this by simply (and proudly) displaying the St. George's cross only.

If it's good enough for the likes of Messrs. Coulthard etc. to acknowledge only the St. Andrew's cross, then Nationalism works for me too!!!  Grin

Sorry to be pedantic, but there is no such thing as an English Union Flag - the English flag is the St George's Cross. What's this about ignorance and lack of education ? Roll Eyes

Who knows what people do under the influence, and frankly it scares me to ask!
