Hi Werner, Are you part of this advance party? Is BN actually open on Sunday night?
Hi Phil, thanks a lot for your advice. Yes, BN is open on Sunday. We did this already 3 years ago, so it will our second visit to the scrutineering. I hope to be part of the advance party - but cannot guarantee yet. My current project is coming to an end, so in June I will have most likely a new client/project - and no clue where that might be and how much free time I will have around race week. What's you plan this year?

Looks like Team LeMansZone will hit the show early this year. An advance party is planning to arrive on sunday evening on BN, so watching the 2nd part of scrutineering on monday in the city centre is the plan . Which will probably be followed by a decent pub crawl in the town.

Started planning for next year ... could be busy . Le Mans All European WEC races + Austin and Bahrain ELMS full season (except Monza, but really looking forward to Portimao) Might have to choose between Sebring and WEC/ELMS prologue at Monza, could be a tough one. What a hard life

Maybe he's making space in the team for his good mate Jenson Button...
Dx
I doubt that Porsche needs to add more drivers to it's LMP team to fill the gap which Webber will leave. With former Le Mans winners Bamber and Tandy their squad is well stocked ... True, but they did get an awful lot of publicity outside the world of sports car racing by having a well known former F1 driver in the team. Hulkenberg might also be in the mix to return. Would love to see Hülkenberg back in Le Mans, but Porsche and Audi have both already ruled out a third car for 2017 and the Hulk has just recently signed up for Renault in F1 for the next 2 years.

Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Test weekend information

Hi Martini,
The test weekend will be on 4th June 2017, 2 weeks prior to the race. Tickets: I know from some one who went there that the test sunday 2016 was 20 € BUT you didn't have to pay, if you already had your GE for race week. So if you plan to visit the race 2 weeks later as well, you will have no extra cost.
No clue about campsites and pit access though.
Werner

I can only second that. I saw an incredible performance from him in the 1976 Belgian GP in Zolder where he was about to score points for the completely underfinanced small Ensign Team. Once again bad luck hit and he had to retire the car.
A great racer! RIP, Chris Amon
