Just tell her you don't want to go.  It's just you HAVE to go.

You've got a bl**dy cheek.
I recon you should set off very early Saturday morning and leave as the race finishes so that you can make her a midnight cocoa when you get in..

There's 2 scenario's to this one....

First tell her she is having a holiday ......because you wont be there Grin Grin

and

Second. If she has an interest .....tell he she can go,and you will pay.

Both of thes have workerd for me for the past 9 years, and also if you have kids who are into motorsport you can offer to take them...........provided they don't tell mum what you get upto Smiley

Bring her with you.  I always drag my old man along and he doesn't complain.  If she can't stand the noise, the bus to Le Mans will provide her with plenty of shopping opportunities, not available in the UK - just hand over your credit card as you wave goodbye.  One brownie point for every 100 euros she's allowed to spend.  A slap up meal at les 7 plats in the old town will earn you a few more.

I also get the question, if it is a 24 hour race, why do you go for a full week?

I never even try to explain, I just disappear for a week!!
