No idea if it will work or not, but probably worth a go at this price.

Full portable satelite set up from Lidl - £70.

I think we'll be taking one.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

Don't forget that LM will be transmitted by Motors TV - and this is not FTA or FTV.  You'll need a Sky box and subscription to be able to see any of the race.

Del's always at hand with a bucket of cold water! There are other things on TV apart from Le Mans. You can always walk to the track to watch the race, armed with a set tuned to Radio Le Mans.
Yes, the box from Lidl will work in France. The race will be broadcast on Canal+ and CanalSat in France, both of which require subcription. You will be able to get the free stuff from all over Europe including BBB 1 and 2 and ITV on it.

That set from Maplins is selling for £60 now,

we bought one last week and it picked up Canal+ as well even without a suscription??? I am planning on borrowing my mates Sky Box and DragonCam so that we can get MotorsTV aswell. RaceWorld is also on FTA which will broadcast highlights.
