Title: Car Sticker 2006
Post by: Martini...LB on January 14, 2006, 02:20:19 pm
Hi

I've been playing this morning as the wife is out.
Knocked up a car sticker which, if you want, you can screen print or print onto A4 Avery labels or sticky film.

Hope you can see the artwork, the Pdf should be ok.

Don't forget the T Shirt artwork if you have not seen it, is on another thread

Looks good on the PDF file view.

Maybe worth speaking with Paddy, His company "do" stickers !!

Very nice! We had window stickers a few years back which said Real Men Do It For 24 Hours. Still got one in the back window! And last year Robbo had some proper car stickers made up with www.clubarnage.com (also still on my car)

Are you going to do any this year Robbo? if so I'd take a small reflective one. Also up for one of Martini's of any get made.

Hi

I have amended the artwork to add '.com' in the logo. Perhaps the Grande Fromage could find some marketing budget to print these (joke)

Seriously though I am pretty sure they will work fine on Avery A4 size sticky labels, certainly for a short period e.g Sebring weekend, though if you want something more durable perhaps, as Robbo says, Paddy might be able to knock something up.
If anyone wants to do 'proper' printing let me know and I will send Hi-Res artwork.

Not wishing to denigrate your sterling efforts Martini, but it would be better with the proper CA logo.  I don't imagine there would be any copyright issues with using it!!

Can I take it that other than Avery labels, there is no simple way of producing a sticker.  You can get T shirt transfers, which aren't that good, and overhead projector film, but is there anything for car stickers?

A quick look suggests we could have 250 printed for £100

If someone can organise printing the labels (Paddy?) I'll happily collate orders and deal with posting the labels to people BUT somene else will have to deal with the money side of it.  My finances are complicated enough without having to explain to the tax man why I've got 50 cheques for £2 going through my account!

Sticker looks good; simple, so effective.

Of course I'm willing to help! Lots of you will remember our sticker for '05, and both RobboSPS and JPChenet know the quality of the reflective stickers.

Maybe what I can do is send the stickers to Robbo. As he is working on distribution for the shirts, it might be quite handy to insert the stickers into that same package as well. The rest could be collected at Sebring, Spa or Le Mans (?).

Just let me know the exact size and I will produce them. We'll work out money later, depends on quantity.

This is our car sticker for '06 by the way, a bit busier ;)

I also still have one on my car - managed to peel it off the old car and re-stick it to the new.

Can you remember who did these, Smokie?  These stickers had the official CA logo on them - would be nice to use this on new stickers.

Hi Paddy

The size is about 285 x 77mm but I can produce the artwork to whichever size you require. Once you have sorted if you want the Artwork let me know which format and I will forward it.

By the way, the reason I did the logo this way is because I did not know the font of the original logo and as the artwork for the T shirts was approved I thought it would be ok on the stickers.

IF, someone can let me have the logo in a decent size or the typeface I can change it.

IF, it is not too late I can change the artwork for the T shirts.

If a picture paints a thousand words... sorry i got sidetracked there.

Your call guys, I will produce whatever you want.

Well for one I have never met you and did not realise that you are of the fairer gender (no not german) why can't you be called miss piggy or something that would point to the fact that you are female. No offence meant.

Next you will tell me Doris is a bloke, but wait what is this I read..Doris has put the fact that she is female in her profile, now there is a thought would it not be better if there was a default that everyone puts their gender and even perhaps their age in their profile this does give a bit of a better idea who you are talking to.

Sometimes it all comes together. I'm actually running a reflective asignment at this moment (order came in this morning). Would be nice if I could get the original file today, so I can print the stickers this afternoon :)

For those who know more about vinyls, it will be printed on 3M material, colour 580-10, E104 approved.

Speaking of car stickers, anybody interested in these type of stickers?

Six inches high will probably fit most rears of cars, maybe just in two colours? (light and dark grey metallic)
(lines still have to be perfected, but working on that)

The flag orientation as shown on the sticker is the flag of Serbia and Montenegro (former Yugoslavia) :o

We've had this debate before regarding the CA logo.  This is, basically, the site owner, Dave Davies' (Grand Fromage's), 'property' and is, in effect, the corporate identity of Club Arnage.

Scroll up to the top of each forum page and check out the forum banner.

The third option is this logo with a discreet .com added.

Title: Re: Car Sticker 2006

another effort, the first one with a slightly bigger logo

have to agree with Steve though, everybody knows the www, and it's more like the original :-\

Title: Re: Car Sticker 2006
Post by: Steve Pyro on January 16, 2006, 11:58:50 pm
Okay, another thought if it needs to be balanced.  Scrap the .com altogether and keep it like the original at the top of each page as -

Most people wanting to check out the web site not knowing the URL could just Google Club Arnage anyway.

Would I be being hyper critical to suggest that the numbers in the year are all in the same format, i.e. that the number 2 should be overlayed by the first 0.

My intention was to get the pack to RobboSPS, so he can distribute together with the shirts. As a have been running an assignment on reflective vinyl today, I thought it would be rather handy to run this file after it. Not knowing all last-minutes would change the whole lot again :)

Nah, honestly, those stickers are running, but I have my doubts about the size. Not everyone might want a sticker as large as suggested, so I'll run it 50/50 as for 28½ cms and 19 cms wide. I can always print more if needed.

Best would be to pay Robbo. I can post the stickers off to him, and he can simply add the stickers to the shirts without any extra shipping costs.

By the way, I have fiddled around with the sizes. Martini gave me a size of 28½ cms wide, but I think that's way to big for a small car. So I have printed 28½, 19 and 12 centimetres wide.

I must admit, we did look into getting the bottom of the pool painted black with a gold JPC logo. Just a case of finding a totally waterproof but flexible paint!

Great job Paddy_NL.

How much for the stickers then??

Have already sent order and monies to Robbo for the shirts but would like a sticker also - 12cm wide.

Robbo - as the sticker is not likely to be a great deal of dosh what would be the best way to pay you for the extra amount?

Paddy,

I think we had better get together soon (are you going to Sebring) to start planning (for a beer) next years edition just to save 2-3 hours of posting and artwork changes.

P.S. thanks Steve Brown for noticing the flag was (perhaps) the wrong way around, it was fun, we owe you one, not sure what that is yet, a beer? a spud up the exhaust? or perhaps a big hug, I will leave that to you Paddy.

I promise I will not post the idea I have for car artwork, I only did the sticker in a moment of spare time, for fun.

Martini...

0.75 / 1.00 / 1.25
GBP ex postage

Prices -

Small - 12cm - 75p

Medium - 19cm - £1

Large - 28.5cm - £1.25

If ordered with shirt, No p&p.

If ordered seperate, the cost of a stamp. 30p i believe.

Unless paddy knows, i havent any idea how many of each we have, so best to hold fire until the postman delivers over the next few days.

I already have orders and payment for a few, so wouldnt want to upset people.

Are these exterior stickers, )not the ones you have to put inside a window?)

So we've got 5 inch. 7&1/2 inch and 11 inch.

Better have a few

And about car artwork, just wait and see 'till June....

As DfH has something up his sleeve to!

And here's a nonflashed version of it, so the sticker is better recognizable ;)

We're taking it slow with it so far, it's a company car so I can't put on all we have planned yet. But in Le Mans it will be very very recognizable  ;D

Well, all of those possibilities actually :)
I believe SmoothHead was after a DfH-sticker, and so I thought there might be more.

As for the quantities, I thought this would be evenly spread enough - even though the small ones were a bit enthousiastic in number. I can always produce more if any size would run out.
