Although not much we can do about it anyway - it'll be enjoyed as always and I'll be thankful we can make it this year with all the turmoil.

Is there any way of speeding up time to make Wednesday come quicker?
48  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Dont forget to tell your bank!! on: June 06, 2009, 10:13:41 am
Nice one Smokie

I always use the number on the back of the card that they give you if you are calling from abroad.  This is a proper area number on most issuers.

I hate paying for the 0800 free or 0870 local rate calls.

Oh, and it also gives you the big screens locations which is a nice touch (excluding those away from the main complex though).

Bonjour chaps and chapesses

I know you seasoned pro's probably don't need this but as someone out there put the time and effort in to make it I think it makes a relatively interesting look.  Basically a grandstand map for those that are still wondering exactly where hey are sitting or thinking of picking up some last minute tickets.

See ya

I've got capacity but I'm in central London - if you can get it to me (EC1V 9LB) I'll take it.

gturner - like your style.  I'm off to do a 6 hour endurance karting event at Buckmore Park http://www.buckmore.co.uk/content.php/23020?eve_ref=5032 today.  There'd be no other reason to be up at this hour on a public holiday.

Monaco yesterday  Smiley, Turkey in a couple of weeks  Smiley and sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to lose my job  Cry means the 2 weeks remaining are going to fly by!

Yeah, I can't see it working any other way.

I'm in Rang 1 so right up by the fence next to the airfield but further west in parcelle H.  Looking forward to seeing the marshalls try and control it if they've done a bunch of weird allocations.
58  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re: Is Blue Nord the new Maison Blanche for 2009? on: May 23, 2009, 09:19:17 am
Barry

It works like co-ordinates.  To start, you are in Parcelle B which is obvious right?

Then, the larger numbers work the x-axis (left to right) and the smaller number the y-axis (top to bottom).  Ignore the numbers in the pitches themselves and refer to the black scale.  In this case your pitches look like they face each other across an access path and have the numbers 89 and 91 in them respectively (the 5th pitches up from the main red shaded blocks).

Smokie - you will be higher up (if you extend the y-axis in descending numbers) and further to the right in the same parcelle.  In this grid shown you are on the right hand most strip (the number in your pitch is actually 98).  Your sold pitches will be in a 2x3 rectangle above you.

For clarity, B1 would be the strip of pitches that run along the top of the picture.

With the engine in the back, would it be a heat haze at the front or just distortion from fast air?

Still a sweet photo and has given me a new desktop background  Smiley
