1  Club Arnage / General Discussion / Re:Hire something interesting for 2005 on: November 11, 2004, 09:59:24 pm
Fair point, what do we think would be reasonable to hire something decent for track use?  P1 is apparently £15k for the year which gets you 5,000 miles!!

With track-club it looks like about £300 a day but less for cheaper cars.

Apparently track-club (part of www.track-sense.com) may be hiring out cars at a trackday on the Bugatti circuit the weekend before Le Mans 2005

If you're in the club you can also hire cars to take to Le Mans as they let you do European track days as well as road trips.  It's like Damon Hills P1 thing but for the track.

Nice........

Usually see you guys down there, in fact I think I had a bit of a mini race on the way down last year with one your guys in an M3.

If you come up with a slightly more attractive offer than free maybe we could do something.....

6  Club Arnage / General Discussion / PK Sport Sponsorship Offer on: April 22, 2004, 11:11:51 pm
Just a quick post to announce that PK Sport will once again be offering our Rear Wing Sponsorship offer to Le Mans Race Fans. Not only are we holding the price from last years £199 but we are offering a £10 discount to PCGB Members.

E-mail me via stephen@pksport.com for more details but in summary the offer is as follows;

Your name or sticker on a 14cm x 6cm space on the rear wing of the race car
A pit tour on the Friday of Le Mans weekend - close up access to the car
A PK Supporters pack - polo shirt, mug, signed poster
Entry into the draw to win the actual rear wing as raced

I believe last years winner Nigel Lewis has the £2k carbon fibre wing mounted on the wall in his office!!

A unique opportunity to have your name, company logo, childs name, whatever you want (within reason!!) on the rear wing of a Le Mans car.

Have a great trip!!

Should also have said that our merchandise which sold out at the PCGB stand last year is available to order on the website and will be delivered before Le Mans 2003!

The Worlds Coolest Shelf!!

PK Sport will be contesting the GT Class at Le Mans for the third year with an all British Line team and we've developed a sponsorship opportunity for any fans going to the event who want a bit more access than normal.

For the measly sum of £199 you will receive the following;

- Your name on the rear aerofoil of our Porsche 996 GT3-RS
- PK Sport polo shirt, cap, mug, signed poster and any other tat we can find
- A garage tour on the Saturday or Sunday
- Entry into a prize draw to win the actual carbon fibre rear wing

THis is strictly limited to 48 people, one name will be drawn from a hat before the race (we'll probably do this during the pit walkabout so everyone can attend the draw) and will win the actual wing that is on the car...........obviously you can't collect it until after the race and I can't guarantee that it will be in one piece!  They usually survive however and this is the proper carbon fibre aerofoil worth around £2k.

It's up to you if you want to clean the bugs and dirt off the arrive at 190mph on the Mulsanne!  A genuine opportunity to win a bit of Le Mans history.  We will present the wing to the winner when the car returns from scrutineering at the end of the race and they will if they wish be given the opportunity to watch the end of the race from the pit garage.  We will if required transport the wing back to the UK for the winner.

Contact me via stephen@pksport.com if you want more details or if you would like to take up the offer, there's more details at www.pksport.com/lemans.htm

Have a good trip to the event!  We'll be at the PCGB barbeque on the Friday evening with a couple of raffle prizes etc.

Regards,

Stephen
