Top petrol head living the dream. We meet him at his pub the mulberry near guidford when he had a supercar day. He arrived in his silver gto but was not adverse to letting kids get up close and personal with it.
The colburn car was sold to make room for the original GTO I think.
He still owns the 250#gt California - bumped into him last year at the Mille Miglia and had a chat about it.
The 250GT0 is the rarer (and not as pretty) '64 model orginally owned by Col. R Hoare who started the Maranello dealership back in the '60's.
Not been on this board for a while but something reminded me of this thread and I thought you all ought to see it. I think it would make a fine modern comma replacement!
Double Diamond is still on sale at our local community centre. It's the only place that I have seen it for years.
If I remember right it was awful stuff so what they are still selling is probably left overs from the 70s
I bought a bottle of DD in 1989 from a pub when I was 16 for a laugh, I ended up not drinking it and keeping it as it was already 8 months past it's sell by date. I found it the other day in a box of junk!
bur NM will go only for the BOYS PR angle. good behind wheel, complete tosser anywhere else!!! feel better now.......
Exactly and this was confirmed yesterday in a 'top of the hill' interview. He managed to get in more about his boys and all his/their sponsors in before anything else and then proceeded to continue in the same way. one big PR machine - everyone else is there for 'fun'!
