He said he'll let me know at the weekened...

I appreciate the sentiments chaps, I dug her out and washed her off and I'd be lying if I said there wasn't at least a twinge of nostalgia for Le Mans past. Terrible things have happened in and around her... but there's a lot needs doing to her, and I think I'd still rather she went to a good home. Sad

The other compication is that my girlfriend (Dutch, met her at a DfH meet in Holland in 09! Wink ) wants a classic car when she moves to England later in the year. So whilst she's happy to do up the Commer, it's starting to get ridiculous with a classic bike, (and hopefully a modern bike later in the year) a classic tractor, a classic camper and a classic car!
You can't have it all I suppose.

Yes you can!

Still a way to go, we have 9 vehicles and a twin axle trailer in the house hold. So you have no excuse  Grin

Wish I had spare space for it up here.

Best luck anyway.

Hang on, just had a thought, did not John Stevens want a vechicle to park close to his house to annoy his neighbour?

Weeks to go are getting few.  What is going on?  Has the glorious Commer gone to pastures new?  Has she been reprieved? Will we hear tell of the traditional last minute gasp "mate's MOT" and the subsequent pleasure of the tale of trials and tribulations of getting her to Le Mans?  And back?  We need to know......

Randy - great idea, may work on that in few weeks.

Mind you it will be not as good as the Sandy's Sebring one!

Sadly Mark it's a definite no go this year for the old girl.

She's still sat here sunning herself. A very nice gay couple came up from Brighton for a look but were horrified with the state of the decor.

Glad to hear that she is, at least, still occupying a place on your turf, and that any prospective owner is being put off, either by the mechanical state or the interior.  Long may it remain so.....

Not been on this board for a while but something reminded me of this thread and I thought you all ought to see it.
I think it would make a fine modern comma replacement!

Pinched Neils picture Cheesy I saw one of these on my drive home from Mosport on Sunday. Followed by a RED MGA  Grin
While at the track a white Frog eye Sprite was in the vintage race. Not going as fast as Gary took me on a ride around the lanes of France but having a good time.

This topic (which has provided bags of entertainment since its inception) has languished for months Sad.  With only 2 weeks to go to the trail out there starting, I suspect that Zarse was hoping that it might remain that way - no chance Smiley

Not a single post from him on the subject since 6 May last year.  Except a sort of related one on 18 Jan this year saying "What's a Commer?" in response to the thread for the 80th race poster, apparently indicating that his renowned Christmas spirit had lingered on.  Callous b*stard Angry

So Mr Z what's going on?......
