When did old Spoonface (otherwise known as Michael Schumacher to the uninitiated), grace us with his prescence at Le Mans?

Le Mans is life, anything before and after is just waiting...
... it's not the taking part but the winning that counts !

This is an easy one Rick. 1948!
A memorable year that was. A fantastic race, as well as Wor Geoff having much more whiskey than is intended for one person and falling down the banking at MB, lying there undiscovered for nearly two days. Me proposing to some French truit in the back of her car outside the station, and then insisting on taking flash photos of her and her mate when she refused me. And the Mazda kept on making that noise.
Europe lay raped after the ravages of the second world war, my grandad was wearing his pants on his head and Nascar was a small tribe of Peruvians with sausage shaped heads who spent most of the day staggering around in the desert.
Friday! Friday!

PS It's a strange sensation when one's uploader is full, but I quite like it.

Well sav is closest so far to the answer whereas poor H is just closer to wearing his pants on his head and sticking two pencils up his nose and going "wibble" - you been on the Mrs. Miggins' homebrew again H?

This is how one of my wife's mates plays Triv Pur, gives two options for the price of one .. and she needs a good slapping (well, something like that anyway)! It was indeed one of the last two suggestions, but now I want to know what manufacturer he drove for and where did they finish?

The new pits, Willy Weber, the fireworks and laser show, the Junkers 88 rat-a-tatting overhead and screaming into a dive trying to shake off Farquahar in the Spitfire. Flak, and barrage balloons drifting through palls of smoke over Le Houx.
1492, what race, even pestilence in the lead car couldn't stop them.

As a side salad....
There were five V12 cars in this race, what were they?

1990.
I think there may have been 5 XJRs in the race that year, bur more likely 4. If it was anything else, then I am beggared if I can think of it. Was it in C2?

Wasn't that our dear friend Columbus who made news in 1492 ? But good effort you can remember that. 1991 was the year, and maybe 2006, 2007 ? Who knows. He was driving (fighting) for Mercedes and finished 5th.
