Well they're French aren't they. Historically I think the DS stands for Danish Seaways and their HQ is in Copenhagen so no, they're not. Very poor that they change confirmed bookings but I suspect it's either this or go bust and leave customers completely in the lurch

I'm by no means an expert but in addition to the number of links to a site, 'Keywords' are very important. They are contained in things called Meta Tags in the code that produces the page. The surfer doesn't see these but the search engines and directories do and their relevance to the headings and content of the pages are important factors.
CA's homepage keywords are PHP, MySQL, bulletin, board, free, open, source, smf, simple, machines, forum
They don't even mention Le Mans! They look like they were put there by the authors of the forum software and haven't been customised for CA.
This isn't surprising as forums are usually embedded in a site that has ordinary webpages; index, about us, contact etc.
That's certainly why Beermountain will rank higher than CA. And, hey, as a regular contributor to BM (and the CA Guide) it's a bit insulting to hear that it's only about stacking stubbies. We've all got a common link in Le Mans and I know that there are many people who are, like me, members of both communities.
Moan over - if Le Mans is included in the keywords the rankings will improve.

Why after getting to 996 or more do they go back to 918, and the damn things a hybrid
Presumably because they view it as a successor to the 917 of the 70s which they open the promotional video with. At least they have managed to dig out the non-911 jelly mould.

Great photos. Brings back a lot of memories of the 70s.
Sunday spectator stages at Sutton Park and Trentham Gardens and driving up the M6 with the competitors between stages.
All you could see between cars at night was the glow of people drawing on fags. You were allowed to smoke in those days!

A lot of the major roads were re-numbered in 2006 - 2007.
I don't think this had anything to do with the EU though. The E designations have been the same for years before this and since.
The N road is simple to follow on a map. The A28 doesn't depart from it by more than a couple of miles anywhere between Rouen and Le Mans.
I think that the village / town where you watched the propcession from a cafe was probably Beaumont s' Sarthe. It's about midway between Alencon and Le Mans and has several suitable establishments.

That's sorted then. Saturday evening will be spent watching a motor race and knocking back a few sherbets And what once you've set up the camping area for the Cobrateers and find there's a rat in the kitchen, what are you gonna do? Fix that rat, that's what you'm gonna do, but don't come crying to me for help if you don't want to watch UB40. So, a minority then. About one in ten I guess?
