Correct on the De Ville, the other one is a Ford  probe, maybe the best race a ford has had at LM for a good number of years
the campsite was the Houx before it got a tarty with pitchs and power.

I hope this clears up a popular misconception re the name of our dear flag.
It would also help if the ACO knew which way to hang it. Sad

The name "Union Jack" became official when it was approved in Parliament in 1908. It was stated that "the Union Jack should be regarded as the National flag".

Well done, it was 86 when the car finnished a well earned 6th place.
The car also raced at least twice before in Joest colours once driven by the Martin bros (83, 15th) and once by Wolleck (82,DNF)
The car, some belive started as a 908, became a 936-80 then the 936CJ

Thats the one, this was taken when there was a more relaxed feel to the pit and paddock. Huh

No idea, but would guess it was Migault, as he would have been the most experienced.

Back in the late 80's, thru my dads work we used to get free tickets to Thruxton, this also somtimes involved lunch.
Therefore I was lucky enough to have a meal with Murry Walker, 'John Winter', Dave Price  & Derek Bell. Not all the same time! but pretty good I reckon.

We also once had a chance meeting at LM with a work contact of my dads that led to full hospitallty from 3M (where we met several French people who where famous but not to me), including, Pit passes, Pit Boxes, and the best part a pre race lap in a coarse car.
