I'll chuck some bikes in too then Robbo.

Yamaha DT125 - well you have to learn on something I guess. not very good at anything. Always started, well that's something I suppose.

1993 Fireblade - raw and beautiful, out of the frying pan and into the fire so to speak.

Suzuki 350DS- crashed the Blade and needed transport, top off road, not on it though. Got the Blade back and crashed the Suzy, oh well.

Ducati Monster 900 - looked great, total f**k*ng rubbish though.

Yamaha YZ125 + YZ250 - f**k*ng mental motocrossers ...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Honda RC45 - absolutely stunning - f**k*ng stolen - f**k*ng bastards - couldn't outrun Arnie Webb though. Good for 95 in first gear,  very loose rear end as I found out nearly taking out a placky cobra at Arnage, whoops. Steered suprisingly well on 1 wheel, resultant loose end on my behalf. Phew.

Honda Blackbird - s'not that fast nor comfy, much faster when jetted and piped, just about outran Arnie Webb in his disgusting orange ( now yellow ) Caterham second time around.

Suzuki Bandit 1200 - that's more like it, I scared the sh*t out Kimey at Le Mans on this beauty, ha. When I say 'hold on' I f**k*ng mean it you tit.

Yamaha 1200XJR - one of the best, tear your arms out of their sockets. Owey

1998 Honda Fireblade. S'alright, replaced the RC45, quick but dull and very painful on 2 trips to Italy. Nothing like the original, far to silky.

Yamaha Fazer 1000 - Carved my first tarmac on freshly laid Italian blacktop with this baby, sweet and 200 miles to a tank. Also stolen.

2002 Yamaha R1 - beautiful in silver and matt black, properly quick.

BMW 1150 GS - 40000 miles, 3 trips to Italy, still going strong and just going. I'll take on any sporty bike rider on this behemoth and still ride around the outside of you, ha ha. Probably the best bike I have owned. Bye bye baby I'll miss you.

KTM 640 SM - A&E express, replaced the R1 and much more fun, still here and still scary. Very dangerous. Makes you ride like a complete c**t.

BMW 1200GS Adventure, my new baby (?) arrives in 2 weeks, I can't wait.

Yeah great fun, but as you say bits would drop off them all the time, I went through 1 engine, 2 gearboxes, 2 AP racing clutches, a driveshaft, a fuel tank  Shocked , and it seemed everything would cost multiples of £500... Heady (if expensive) days!!! Nice to meet a fellow Cossie fan!
