Is the P word what they refer to on PH as 3.14's or something, coming from civilised Guernsey ( ) I really am not sure what this is all about. I do know what a Pikey is... oops. Is that not PC? >Martini...LB Yes. 3.14 (Pi) k's Tenuous, but it seems to be this years catch phrase! It's typed that way on PH as 'pikey' is treated as a swear word on their forum filters!

Some theft is certainly planned, but I suspect most is opportunist. I'm genuinely sorry to those who suffered thefts in LM.
I read on PH that someone had their wallet lifted, probably by an other Brit, at the driver's parade. Not sure if that's the same person that's posted here? I also read that a group of Brits had stolen one of Aston Martin Racing's golf buggies, driven it to BN and then crashed it, whilst pissed, into someone's new XF - then buggered off! So, it's not the French pikeys that are always the problem.
I'm pleased we've not had anything nicked in the years we've been going, but I always lock my backpack in my car and keep my wallet in my tent, well away from the tent opening.

I smugly checked the weather just now in the full knowledge that it's going to be lovely all weekend at Le mans, and it now seems that there will be rain on Saturday I apologise for checking. I won't do that again Accuweather say "thunder storm possible" on Sat, but we must be used to that at LM anyway!

Team Pretzel (me and the other half).
Out Pompey - St Malo Wed. 11th 20:30 overnight ferry (plenty of opportunity for a beverage or 2)
Back Caen - Pompey Mon. 16th 16:30
Staying offsite & driving in every day.
Trusty Porsche Cayman providing the transport between home/port/hotel & parking vert.
Not long now!
Edit - now returning Sunday night 23:00 from Caen. Accommodation overbooked at our hotel for the Sunday night and all alternatives offered so near to Ouistreham it's not worth hanging around. Never done the late Caen-Pompey return crossing on the Sunday night. Anyone care to advise what it's like? Pete B. Pete, I like that ferry. A lot of locals come out to photograph the flashier cars coming back, so it feels like a bit of a welcome. The bar is a good place to say goodbye to this years trip before getting a bit of sleep. I haven't found a good place to get breakfast once ashore now as all the local Little Chefs have gone (M27 and A3), unless anyone knows of anywhere? Aricus What time does the ferry arrive - or I'd suggest there's a Harvester at Port Solent, opens 9:00a.m?

Unless they've seen your post and changed it immediately, Del, it's showing as 13June.
In the header, they have it correct. But in the first block of descriptive text, it states "On Friday 21 June, the Classic.......is the place to be". Del Oops, so it does.... + = or

The addition of Porsche in LMP1 has seen the "Bay of Fleas" LM tickets reaching silly prices so far.... I've seen 1 Houx pitch + 2 GAs sell for >£600 and similar money changing hands for Bleu Sud! You MIGHT, just MIGHT get lucky in the coming couple of weeks!
