It looks a lot like the 1999 LM open car to me.

Ah, that would explain why I don't recognize it, raced before I first visited.

I`m not sure - it looks similar but not exactly like the 99 Audi open roof: http://www.perfect-pictures.ch/pics/lemans/audi-lemans-1999-lrg.jpg

Does not look like a finished car to me, maybe a design mock up for aero work?

The expo looks pretty good, but the web page is almost impossible to use and gain a true idea of the displays!

emailed the museum over the weekend ref the exhibition - got this reply, but still check its still on before anyone goes.

Quote
don´t worry, the exhibition will only be closed on 3rd of Feb and 4th of Feb. After that we have still open from tue-Sun 10:00 - 18:00 o´clock including the special exhibition "Le Mans". Final Day for "Le Mans" will be the 28th of march. If you have further questions don´t hesitate to contact me.

Your sincerely

Benjamin Müller

Still tempting to fly over on a cheap airline. Where is worth staying for 1 or 2 nights?
