Hi

If anyone can help me, I'd be most grateful.

I'd like an LM09 Flying Lizards poster, (If they're doing one this year) unfortunately I'm not going, so was wondering if one of you fine attendees could pop into their shop if you're in the village. Then get it home unsquished. Then post it to me in Aberdeenshire.

See, I told you it was a long shot.

I shall of course cover the cost of the poster, along with the P&P.

Cheers

Nick

I think the problem would be getting it back unsquished. I've never managed yet!  Not even with those small cards that get given away.

I'll give it a go for you, if you want.

Even in the Elise I manage to get most of my goodies home un-squished.

I assume it is A3 ~ A2 size.....?

Did they have a store in the 'posh' village (high street) complex last year.....?

The insides of rolls of wrapping paper make the perfect carrier to protect your posters.

Wow, what an overwhelming response.

As Christopher was the first to respond, I'll take him up on his kind offer.

Chris, PM me your address, and I'll sort you out.

Many thanks

Searched the village for the Lizards shop and couldn't find it.
Did they have a shop at LM this year?

Couldn't find it either even with Jacquie's help - and she knows how to find shops, so I'm guessing not.

They were giving away copies of their poster during the Friday pit walk and I managed to snaffle just the one in the scrum. It is excellent. Good quality paper, an impressionistic style of image. So good in fact that I'm going to get it framed.

Bugger! Sorry Nick.  Sad

Missed the poster give-away. Went up and down the village and surrounding area several times and could not find their store, but have since checked the ACO listing of shops and they are not shown.

Others have confirmed that they did not have a store this year.

No they didn't. I asked the guys when they were giving out the posters on Friday at the Pit. They said the shop was too expensive this year. Shame as I have a couple of the t-shirts and might well have bought another.
As an aside the car was missing at the time too! All the others were in bits as usual.  It arived later on a Depanage lorry so I don't know where it had been off to...?

I spoke to the guys at their shop in Sebring, they said they lost their ass in LeMans last year - they had to form a french company in order to trade, pay import tax on the stock they brought in AND export tax on unsold stock they brought back.

If only I had read this thread before LM Sad They were indeed handing them out for free, and unlike the posters that are usually given away by the teams this one looks really, really good. Just like Pretzel I'm going to put mine in a frame and hang it in my living room.
