Cheers Andy,
Hope all is well with You and Yours.
Only missed a couple in 24 years now… although this year was looking shaky we’re sorted.
Assume you’ll be there?

I have 6 Beausoujour available… (could only get GEs if I took them) but have a house booked so can offload at face value. 79€ each.
Would like to sell as a job lot.

The ELMS race at Silverstone a few years ago, where some gentlemen of this parish did a lap, post race, of the circuit after a few sharpeners...

Hope all are well...

Been down on the Eurostar/TGV for two years and it's a great way to do it... Last year (and we were a little late in booking... mid May) was £125 therebouts... From home (Bedford) to Le Mans took 5 hours therabouts... I'll be booking when tickets for Thurday departure become available and my guess is that it'll be c£90-£100.

Upsides for me... ? Not having to get up at 5.00am knowing you've got at least 10 hours driving  you know you're knackered before you even turn the key... beers and food on the trains, brief stop in Paris and a wander round in Montparnasse...and this year the added bonus of sitting next to the very nice lady who was masseur for the Drayson Racing Team, on the Le Mans to Paris TGV...

The Bum Bag Incident...?

A day of ticket delivery, ticket loss, arguements with Barclaycard, driving round Le Mans trying to find the the 'right' La Poste, trying to find Fran at the Morgan Club encampment on Expo...

Hi Steve

Myself and my group went down on the Eurostar and then TGV this year...

I can recommend it... The TGV took 50 mins or so from Paris...

It cost c£110 return (going from St Pancras to Paris then from Paris to Le Mans)

You can only book tickets 3 months in advance...

A couple of my party will be arriving Sat afternoon... when I spoke to the site to check if rocking up unbooked was OK they said that it wouldn't be problem... Her comment was along the lines of 'We cater for British Grand Prix with no problems, so it won't be full...'

Does anybody know whether there's going to be anywhere local (pub/onsite bar etc) to the campsite to where interested parties can possibly watch the England V S.Africa rugby on the Friday night...

Big H,

I am sharing your pain and trepidation with regards to this cycling lark...

Indeed, this time next week, I shall be in the saddle en route to Doncaster.. A merry band are sallying forth, as we have done for the last 3 years, on our trusty steeds, to Bedford Blues last away game of the season... Henley, Birmingham Solihull & Harlequins have been safely (if sorely) arrived at... I fear Doncaster will present an altogether more daunting challenge...

I hear on good authority that a mixture of Vaseline and Bonjella strategically applied works wonders easing both pain and chaffing in the nether regions... Never tried it, but I will advise on whether you may like to try it...
