f**k*ng black ice ! I hate winter ! >:(
This was the result this morning of the over night freeze. On the way to work, I slid on a patch of black ice as I approached a roundabout and it wouldn’t stop and I hit the back of a white transit van, smack into his tow bar in the side of the grill and then moments later a silver Mazda 6 also couldn’t stop on the ice and ploughed into the back of me as well. Probably doing 15 mph at most.
The Mazda was a mess and he couldn’t even open his drivers door as the wing was pushed back against it.
Oh the joys of motoring, so I am now driving a 1 litre Fiesta Style courtesy car.
Bastard thing is last night someone told me they are sending me a £270 cheque for all my magazine articles I wrote during the year.
Less than 12 hours later a bent car and a £200 excess bill !
Watch out people it's getting slippery out there.

Bad news that Chris.
winter tyres all the way.
They'll go on horrid steel / smaller alloys, and you won't mind kerbing them etc. And, once you've done the initial outlay, you'll save the wear on the good tyres, for a good few winters.

Nice >:(
We had the same problem here this morning,I only just managed to keep my van out of the hedge and avoid the side of a wood lorry at 7am. Phoned the council to see why the road hadn't been treated and the answer was because the frost had lifted where he was,40 fecking >:( miles away.

Bollox! :( Nothing got gritted here either and I believe it was because the lazy c**ts didn't want to leave the confines of their nice warm office and their big steaming council teapot.
Merry Christmas to one and all >:(
