While in the DfH/JPC area on Friday I found myself chatting to a guy that I could tell was not from these parts. So I asked him "Where are you from"
He told me he is a Kiwi.
I replied. "Oh! You must know Doris then!".
"No, I don't know Doris!".
Shortly after JPC was passing. I stopped him and said. "Have you met this guy? He's a Kiwi."
He immediately asked "Do you know Doris?"
"No, I don't know Doris! Who is Doris?"
"She's a Kiwi! You must know her." replied JPC.
"Look there are four million people in New Zealand I don't know all of them." was the only defence he could offer.
I pointed out to him that there are nearly sixty million in the UK and we know her.
Then Paddy turned up and on finding out the guy was a Kiwi asked "Do you know Doris?".
The guy started to have a bit of a moment. "No! I don't know Doris. Who the F*** is this Doris?".
A little bit later Randy wandered across. I introduced Randy to they guy "This is Randy he's come all the way from America and he knows Doris." He then got the grilling from Randy about how can you come from New Zealand and not know Doris.
I think a few others gave him a grilling over not knowing Doris.
I saw the guy a little later in his campsite and asked him "Have you met Doris yet?" To which one of them said. "Oh God not another one!". So I guess others had been asking after Doris too.

They are always wandering around the planet, it seems they have picked up Albatross genes down in the southern ocean.
Probably hasn't been home himself lately...
When he does get home he will soon find out about her
Two hundred folks of various nationalities asking about her will wake up his "wonder who" muscles, he'll find out about her then.

When Tom gave me the breif and told me there was this KIWI from across the plot I too had to ask the enevitable too we all know her and how come you don't, lame excuse was never heard of her and just got the eye ball from him, so I said by next year you had better come back to LM knowing how famous is our Doris

I wish I had met him after spending the Sunday afternoon in Aston Martin VIP hospitality with unlimited champagne and lovely food (Have I mentioned that before? ;)) Tee hee Big big thanks to Posh and Andy Zarse for that one!
Derek Bell must have been totally hammered as he struggled to grunt an acknowledgement to me...... or was that because.... ;D
