Yep folks, this comes from our friends at Pistonheads and the photographs (showing a sevrely battered XK150) would be enough to have any car enthusiast positively cheebling with ill-suppressed rage and horror.
I would humbly submit that being dragged through the streets and then publicly burned is the only way to deal with such individuals.

Public burning would be to good for these idiots, they even try to justify their actions! Idiots.

Actually, if you think about it, it's a form of historic racing. Knacked out old Jags have long been used as banger racers, so in a way it's nice to see, and indeed hear, such a veteran doing the drifting and banging thing. There's worse ways for a car to die.
IMO there's far too many old Jags kept locked up and never seen on the roads.

And not one person on the first page at least on Piston Heads or on here so far as noticed that it isn't actually a banger, its racing in some form of saloon stox class, which is totally different than bangers. Bangers go with the intention of wrecking each other. The class in which this and the other Jags in the picture is meant to be a racing category with as little contact as possible. Not Hot Rods but something in between.

having followed that thread all the way through last week
information in prècis form
the original owner refused POINT BLANK to allow it to be sold for restoration
the only way the banger racing nitwit got the car in his mitts was to allow the roof section to be hacked off
hardly a decent panel on the remains of the car when he began let alone when he retired it
and PH folks were invited to buy it
they didnt
and I didnt
I would warrant that there have been far worse ways for such an old steed to go to heaven, blimey, we've a place here in Brum called Taroni's
very little escapes Old Henry's clutches
or the smelter
