As I cannot get onto facebook at the moment just a quick note to those who sent me messages about our earthquake...
Yes, I'm ok. ;D
Our big quake in Christchurch was about 300 miles from where I live and on an entirely different island. Apparently it could be felt up here (Hawke's Bay) but I was asleep and felt nothing.
Christchurch was cut off yeterday but there's not really much to report. No fatalities, some infrastructure damage (although all but 15% of the city has running water and power again), and lots of damage to buildings as the quake was so shallow. Cost of repair estimated at 2 billion NZD (that's 1 billion GBP at the current exchange rate).

Very good to hear that you are OK, Doris
All the best

No one's going to make an ill advised quip about the earth moving? I am disappointed.

Apparently there was a fatality. A monkey at the zoo freaked out and tried to escape via the moat surrounding the enclosure. It drowned. ::)

As long as you are OK
I did have a worry or two about you Dx (and a couple of my sister's mates who live in NZ too)
But it seems all of you are OK so
phew!
How IS the wine coming along D? Will there be a CA tasting some time soon?

The wine seems to have been totally unaffected by either the Christchurch earthquake or the three we had here in Hawke's Bay yesterday. ;D
As for a CA tasting, I'm sure one can be arranged for June 2011. Whether I'm there or not will be a different matter altogether.

P.s. I assume the "three earthquakes" weren't just a mistaken escape of gas following a heavy curry night??

Errr, no. The French, and everyone in Marlborough, have already got that market cornered. ;)
We are making something much more sophisticated and unique. Although it did have the rough as guts quality of cheap get drunk plonk the other day when we blended it. I'm sure it's nothing a bit of egg white and suplhur dioxide can't fix. :o
