Title: Re: Flipping Garmin Nuvi Post by: Barry on September 24, 2010, 09:51:43 am Have you tried plugging it into your computer?
It normally switches itself on automatically if you are using MyGarmin. Title: Re: Flipping Garmin Nuvi Post by: Lawnmower Man on September 24, 2010, 09:59:07 am HI Neil,
I take it ou have googled he problem. I found This page (http://www.avforums.com/forums/satellite-navigation-sat-nav/875385-problem-my-garmin-nuvi-765t-thoughts.html) on the AVforums though it doesn't sound the same. I guess you have had the unit a while or you would be taking it back. If it is still looking in good shape and has not been knocked hard or dropped. I can't see why it would stop working. While it was left did it get very hot or very cold? If it was left plugged in and chargeing then it's a mistery. Have youtried ressing and holding the power button for say ten seconds? Try charging it with a mains adaptor may be you cigar lighter cable it not working as it should. t. Title: Re: Flipping Garmin Nuvi Post by: Jules G on September 24, 2010, 12:39:38 pm Neil,
Have you tried a road atlas of good old blighty ??? it needs no plugging in, just turn the page. I have a couple of spare UK maps I can drop one round at lunchtime if you want ;D Title: Re: Flipping Garmin Nuvi Post by: Lorry on September 25, 2010, 10:01:47 pm Having just come back from holiday in darkest Cornwall, I did find the Nuvi invaluable, but it did take me up dead ends twice. It could always tell me how far I was away from Blue Nord too.
Personally, I couldn't cope not knowing where I was and I bought a map |
