Like Pink Floyd? The Wall in particular? See this show. Absolutely spectacular.
Tix are spendy. Beg. Borrow. Steal. Sell a child. Sell two if they're small.
I'm a world-class cheapskate and found myself wishing I'd paid for up front tickets. I don't know how demand has been over there, but scalpers here overbought and tickets were available for face value or below in the week leading up to the show.
And Roger's voice sounded better than it has in over 20 years, IMHO.

Yup, I've booked tickets for the O2 Arena in London for May 2011 - 4 of us in the 10th row - cost me a shed load of cash :o
-
Yes, also bought tickets for a Manchester show next May. £83 is the most I have ever spent for as gig ticket, :o ;) but it's the nearest i will get to seeing Pink Floyd
-
I'm also seeing this one at O2 next year - can't rememeber the detail but a buddy bought 4 with me in mind. Maybe see you there Steve?

Envious. You won't regret it. We were upper level - stage left and it was great. With seats like yours, it'll be incredible. Have fun!

We're really looking forward to it. We forked out for the hospitality package - minions bringing cucumber sandwiches and glasses of Pims etc - so should be a blast.

I think I'd rather listen to a recital of Vogon poetry by Prosthetic Vogon Jeltz.
-
I know, I know.......it's "Prostetnic".

If this gig is anything like when Roger did Dark Side of the Moon it'll be amazing. If I hadn't seen that gig I would be quite green right now.

Oh yes ......... it was SUPEEEEEEEERRRRRBBBBBBB.
We had seats front and centre on the arena floor nearly at the front. The VIP pass gave us access to a 'booze and canapés' area before the show and at the interval plus the usual freebies.
The show was excellent. Plenty of people 'of a certain age' around us singing along. The visual effects and projection on to the wall were very impressive - well worth the wait (and the money).

Glad you had a great time. We did, too.

...and I was there the night Dave Gilmour went along to play... what an awesome experience - not so much Dave himself as the audience reaction... We had pretty good seats, straight on from the stage, right next to the empty bank of seats behind the sound desk. Massive venue though, you could've been a lot further away...

Classic stuff and one of the first songs I learned to play on guitar (I don't do Gilmours string bending bulldog chewing a wasp expressions though - leave that to the expert).

Bastard, I knew when they said he would appear at one show only that it would be a London show, rather than a Manchester show. I'm going Saturday night and can't wait.

being a man of a certain age,Ive always felt that I too should be a Pink Floyd fan.Im afraid to say though, apart from Bob Dylan,I find them the most tedious performers ive ever experienced.I even went to see them with a mate of mine who is obsessed with them, and ended up sitting at the side, trying to sleep
Sorry but I just dont get it

I think I am a bit with you Powermite - I saw them do this (The Wall) the first time (1980 ish??) – when they were Pink Floyd – (James Hunt was there I seem to recall no special seats or special treatment just sat in the crowd with a couple of mates.) It was all a bit dull really and they mimed most of it. Bob Dylan - two songs - went home ditch water dull. I did enjoy seeing Floyd do Dark Side of the Moon though in 1973 or whenever it was - that was pretty special.

Fella's this is a must see. I went on Wednesday the 11th with the old man it was absolutely stunning. For me the highlight was the duet with himself, i was lucky enough to see this the last time it was played in the UK in 1980, more attitude then and as my first gig which i also attended with the old man one of my finest memories.

I LOVE IT.......
make me think if it was the right desision to say no to the Hamburg show.
But beeing in the middle of our Le Mans trip I had to choose.

Strange you say that Powermite, 10 mins to show time and they are playing Bob Dylan in MENA before Roger Waters is on stage.

We were there that night too - totally awesome and as Steve has already said, the projections onto the wall were fantastic. Had to come back from France for this and was worth the cost totally.
