David Hobbs / Vern Schuppan / Derek Bell

No. 11 Ford M10

Early race leader but clutch/gearbox and engine all caused problems culminating in the car's inability to complete just one last lap from the pitlane and therefore was retired as a non-finisher.

Okeydoke, number 10 was also driven by Vern Shuppan and David Hobbs, but with previous year's winner Jean-Pierre Jaussaud as well (in between his winning years of 1978 and 1980).

Car was retired at half distance due to insufficient distance covered.
