just a thought.that new hipodrome or stadium would make a good venue for a big band.

I think that there is only 1 Ramone left.  :'(

Always thought Motorhead would be approiate, or Metallica. ;D

Anything but red red whine.

There can be only one reasonable, sane, rational, decent and acceptable choice, in my humble opinion:

I demand the mighty and original Monsters of Rock that are...

Oh, where are Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Hawkwind when you need them?  I may have missed something, but I haven't yet been privy to Rusty's thoughts on The Brethren's 2011 T-shirt design

But of course, judging by the majority of his previous designs, then AC/DC and Back in Black at umpty zillion watts RMS would resonate with that....but then so could Hell's Bells, Ace of Spades, etc etc....

What has winning a road race named for a fictional chracter to do with the Band at Le Mans

Reformed Beatles (with Lennon and Harrison back from the dead)?
John Coltrane?
Sinatra?
Stiff Little Fingers?

It's only an hour, rather than getting hammered at the Poo Bar?

Nope. None of them.

I saw the Beatles in 1961. Wouldn't cross the road to see them again.

It's the reason why I never liked the Poo Bar as a meeting place - too far from the track.  But of course to see you guys... :-*

Snap, only problem might be the weather, as we found out at the Classic last year, if the weathers to hot, the beer pumps don't work. :o

The failure of that most wonderful invention, namely the beer pump, would indeed be a disaster for many, many racegoers. Thusly, I shall be packing the litre of Bushmills 10 Year Old Single Malt that's currently sat in my living room.

Ha, the legendary CA meeting. Every year i say to myself  'deffo going to make it this time'.
Unfortunately it always clashes with my traditional drink induced evening nap when i like to spend a few hours pouring a warm beer into my lap, muttering and dribbling whilst my friends draw things on my face.
Happy days!

Ohh - choices, choices!

Do I go to the CA Meet, watch the band, watch the race, or watch Dr S make a spectacle of himself.

(I suppose doing the washing up might be another alternative, but perhaps I will be allowed the evening off)

 ???

I'm sure there will be plenty of other opportunities to see me making a tw*t of myself Fran.

Btw, on the subject of you and your duties, i noticed that Sainsburys has a 3 for 2 offer on Marigolds. Might be a good investment? ;)

Has Mrs S been sending you out on errands again - or is your interest in the rubber glove department purely recreational?

Title: Re: band this year?
Post by: Lazy B'stard on March 04, 2011, 01:06:59 pm
There are only two places that Mrs S sends me...

1, to the dog house
2, round the bend.

The Marigold thing is purely recreational. ;D

Anyway, please don't mention 'her indoors' again. This is Club Arnage- its my 'happy place'.

Back on topic.

Razorlight?

Meh.

I am sure that we can arrange for at least one evening off Fran but I thought that was going to be the sunday!....

BTW I am investing in a new washing up bowl for you as my beautiful round green one has got battered, and there will be nothing short of Fairy and a new scrubber for you...

From the ACO via Twitter: The 24 Heures du Mans concerts: Raphael, Sarah Bessie, Peretta Julian, Mia Wallas, Razorlight and Concrete Knives will succeed on stage.

Succeed?!  We shall see!

I quite like the look of Aunt Bessie, but I'm not sure I'd let her roast my Yorkshire Puddings.

Sadly, I've never managed to see a band at LM yet, - surely it can't be a good gig?
I almost made Jamiroquai, but accidentally fell in a ditch on the way and had to have a little snooze. I recall one of the lads enquiring about Gary Glitter, but I don't think he's ever played there.
