Been having a clear out at home and have decided to finally get rid of my old vinyl records, 250+ albums that have to go. Does anyone know somewhere, someone or a charity that would take them? I would hate to just dump them as they are/were a huge part of my life. They are the usual stuff from my generation, Stones, Dylan, Bowie, Cream, Zeppelin and stuff like that. End of an era I suppose but I haven't used them for years and most of them are available on CD or to download. Any suggestions?

Amazon Marketplace?

My manager that that I work with goes nuts for old LP's. Have you got a list and how much do you want for them.

It will take a couple of days to log them all. Will get back to you

When my sister died I got a surprising amount for her old vinyl (mind you all the original Beatles pressings were amongst them.) Hence my suggestion - if you can put the time in, you will get more selling individual albums than a collection but the latter of course is much quicker and easier!

there are plenty of people who would love to take those off of your hands. my family had an enormous vinyl collection (my mom used to work for columbia records) that we gave away when cd's came. big mistake in my opinion.

Bob,
If you Google "sell vinyl records" you'll see a whole load of companies pop up before your eyes.
I've never used any of them, but if you do could you let me/us know how you get on as I too have a collection that is more late 70's/early 80's, but I know that there's some "interesting" stuff in there.
Paul.
