Did anyone happen to see the Bentley burnout down opposite camp bleu on Friday this year? We where there but I didnt get any photo's of it! Used them all up after the orange TVR cracked into a woman on a bike!!!
There was a photographer who jumped out of the Bentley and took tons of snaps with his smarty arsed camera, the pics must be somewhere??

Excellent photies Smokie, must have been awesome to watch. What sort of time did it all kick off, because I think I might have been arriving about then.
-
Late morning I think. Elevenish?
Must admit timings were hazy as we we'd started the beers a 9.30 in the morning
-
We arrived quite a bit after that, but I'm sure I heard some stuff going on in the late afternoon/early evening.
-
Yeah i think this was early to mid afternoon-ish. But then again...who knows?

True. time of day irrelevant. It happened.............Cool 8)

It's even more irrelevant that policemen and authorities try to fight against Mad friday.
Keeping it unformal in its organisation is the best way to save it !!! ;)

Was it an organised idea to close the Indianapolis corners from Mulsanne this year to "stop" people having fun.

Yes it was and it was to eradicate the mad friday...
... which appears as a strickly Anglo-Saxon event and really too stupid for French drivers (BTW did you already tried the mad friday with a renault 5 or a Citroen 2CV ;D )

In 2001 , a motor cycle copper stopped and did a burn out then pulled a wheelie as he went off , top man . Then the CRS arrived >:(
-
With the new improvements around the circuit, did i hear they may be moving the road nearer the airfield to give the circuit more space, hey presto the old road can now become private and it's burnout city.

i remember in 2000 the 3 wheeled flaming robin reliant being picked up off its back whhels, reved to high heaven and then dropped. did a mini burnout but just wobbled down the road mainly on 2 wheels. histerical!! ;D. its a shame they dont leave a clear area around the old are strip by blue camping for this malarcky. it is a highlight after all.

When does the action start on "Mad Friday" as we have never seen the fun and frolicks.

I usually turn up at around lunch time , by then a crowd has gathered , the dudes and dudettes come out to play ( except those in Lotus Elise's ) and smoke billows from tyres .
This year it kept trying to happen as soon as the police went , and a few were trying it near the Porsche curves , until Plod stopped that .
On Sunday nights on the old airfield there is racing , which a few years ago got a little dangerous, but usually there is some one with a bike or caterham 7 that eats everyone else .

this year at the air field fireworks were at hand by some tits and let one off over the strip and into someones tent. went up a treat. poor btards
